I'm sorry for this review. I didn't get to taste the food. I tried ordering first in English, then in French, with two different employees.... I kept asking for the chicken plate with two skewers. They kept entering the wrong item.
They didn't seem to know their own menu, as they needed to be reminded that it comes with rice ...
They couldn't communicate sufficiently in either language (not looking for high fluency just enough to take an order). I tried ordering by pointing the the menu & placing it in their window...still didn't understand. They remained polite the entire time. I just couldn't spend more than 15 mins, carrying a toddler, trying to place an order.

It's really unfortunate to enter a restaurant excited to try the food & having to leave after trying to order food for so long.

FYI if you speak Arabic, you will be fine ordering. Unfortunately, we don't.

Horrible service went in with my family to try some Greek food as we have been craving it, went in the guy working the counter didn't know the menu when ordering made me repeat myself 5 times while he listened to music in his AirPods then he just made the chef go to the counter to take my order instead that's when I decided to just leave horrible service would not try going back due to the lack of professionalism

I would strongly recommend staying away from Pappou Souvlaki.

I placed a takeout order an hour & a half in advance, yet the order was still about 25 minutes late. That was already disappointing, but the bigger issue was the food preparation.

When I arrived, I noticed that the chicken souvlaki was being reheated in the microwave. I asked the owner about it, & his response was that he'had no choice.' There was no apology & no concern, as if serving microwaved chicken at a restaurant is normal.

One of the staff members even commented that he microwaves food at home as well. But that's exactly the point - people go to restaurants expecting freshly prepared food, not something reheated in a microwave.

If I wanted microwaved chicken, I could easily do that at home & save the money.

Between the delay, the microwaved food, & the lack of acknowledgment from the owner, the experience was very disappointing. See the videos showing how the food was reheated.

Tender, flavorful meat. I love the tatziki & feta isn't overly salty in the salad. Highly recommend for takeouts. Keep it up!

I live 5 mins from this place & never went. I tried it yesterday for the first time & wow it was so good. The only thing I could think was'why didn't I come here before' lol. I'll be back today & regularly 🔥🔥🔥
