Otto Yakitori is the spot if you're craving incredible grilled skewers & a fire atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent - every skewer is packed with flavor & cooked perfectly.
You also can't ask for better service. Fanny & Kina always take care of you with genuine hospitality, & Coco, the manager, is super kind & welcoming.
Honestly, it's one of the best places to chill, eat well, & enjoy the vibe. Highly recommend!
Good yakitori, the flavors were there but they served the skewers luke warm instead of just from the fire & that's a bit unforgivable, it ruined it a bit for me. The chicken karaage was delicious.
The skewers were juicy & flavorful.
Service was average.
The interiors were nice inside, but the music inside could've been better. I wasn't a fan of the dance club music inside, I would've gone for more quaint quiet music, imo.
this is by far my favorite restaurant you get to try so many delicious flavors at one sitting drinks are amazing staff is great really only pros no cons
Really enjoyed this place the first time I visited. Came back about a year later (present day 2024) & I felt like the food didn't hit the same. Most of our skewers were quite bland & under seasoned, served just lukewarm & not hot. Our favourite bite we had were the smelts, where they were charred to a good level & had good flavors. Most of our skewers were low on the char level- I'm not sure if they grill it long enough? We also ordered the truffle karaage, which was also nothing much to write about. We went on a Friday night so I don't imagine it just being an "off" day for the kitchen. Not sure if I would give this place another chance in the future. I do appreciate the late hours of the Izakaya though. Service was okay, the lighting is a little dark & it gets quite loud. Washroom was passable. It's a single tiny stall.
Went for lunch, a delicious, fast, & very fairly-priced meal. The oyakodon was the perfect blend of flavors & textures.
I'll start with the good. The service was great, super friendly & kind. The place is clean & comfortable. Sad to say, the food was bland. It was cooked perfectly, but the chef seems to be allergic to seasoning. Everything we ordered had zero flavor. I was really disappointed, hopefully it was just a bad night.
As with all reviews, personal preference & dining experience weighs heavily. Having lived in Japan, we have a baseline but also adjust expectations to 1) How is the flavor? 2) Is it fresh? 3) Is it clean For our taste, we were a bit disappointed. We were excited to experience Otto Yakitori Izakaya but it just wasn't for us. The meat (meatballs & steak) had an odd taste, the karaage was bland, & the "tiger shrimp" seemed regular.
Sadly, flavors changed as the owner changed. It's good, but not like before.
The ambiance & the food are juste magnificent, one of the best japanese flavour in town. We went there after 11 pm & ordered a bunch. The waiting time was around 10mins. But one thing to note is that they don't serve main meals (don rice or ramen) after 11 pm. Also, if you want to order yakitori, don't order a bunch of them in one shot, it's better to order a small plate & then finish it before order another one , otherwise the yakitoris will get cold very quickly & the flavor will be seriously compromised.
