We always loved the place & the food. But yesterday the service was just ok. It was pretty busy, but the tall waitress was doing all the work running around while the small waitress was just talking with friends & going outside the whole night. She was really laid back. We ordered drinks with the small waitress, but never received. The other one apologized & gave us shots. She was nice. We will still come back, but felt bad for the waitress.
All meats were juicy & cooked well but definitely lacking seasoning or marinade. It was a big disappointment given the positive reviews. Spent $140 for everything in the photo plus 2 drinks. Would rather go to a steak house for ambiance & better food.

Food is really bland, skewers were small, & the drink we had tasted like soap & it was salty (Sakura litchi). Respectfully, as an Asian, I don't recommend…it was nothing special.
One of my go-to spot, great food & ambiance, sometimes the music is off tho (it was like a club vibe; quite loud &'beaty'instead of a chill pub resto). Their bao buns & fried squid tentacles NEVER miss !! so delicious every time, drinks are good as well & decent portion. They did increase the price $18 for 2 buns instead of $16, as well as the bibimbap, quite steep, but still within affordability.
We loved this perfect little Japanese bar/restaurant. The food is authentic & not expensive. They have a very reasonably priced selection of drinks, including cocktails.
We liked the polite & attentive staff, good house music soundtrack & the relaxing atmosphere. This is a good place to eat or just to have some drinks before going clubbing later. I really wish this was my local!
The best & most authentic Izakaya vibe Montreal. Always have a good time here & I've been here ever since it's opening probably 10 years ago. Service food drinks are great & fairly priced for that level of quality.

The food was okay but the service was disappointing. If you guys are busy, consider hiring more servers or providing proper training. The servers looked tired all the time
Everyone seemed to wait for the server to take the order & bring the drinks.

this is by far my favorite restaurant you get to try so many delicious flavors at one sitting drinks are amazing staff is great really only pros no cons
My daughter & I had a great time the first time we were here so we returned, but this time it was awful. Soggy fried squid, burnt rice, drinks that came ages after the food, a glass of wine floundering around the 4oz mark, us wearing our jackets for the cold... Contrary to my personality I actually spoke up only to be dismissed completely. We won't return.
What a fun little place with some tasty bites & good selection of drinks. The perfect place for students to hangout & have some silly time on a weekend. The custard pudding was the best thing EVER (& it's made in-house)

Went to every single izakaya in the area, like Tempura Kyoudai & Biru Biru. This place blows them all out of the water. Skewers are reasonably priced, they know how to make a good chuhai (though I would ask for extra shochu on the side). Service is good, atmosphere is good. Reminds me of actual izakayas that I frequented in Japan. Kitchen closes at 1130 & last drink is at 1230.
We went there on a Saturday night. Very nice place & atmosphere. The music was good & all. We loved the food & there was a good selections of drink. Why I put 2 stars for.the service is that we constantly had to ask for water refill, the service personne was bringing food on the table without picking up the old empty plates so we ended up having a table full of empty dishes. She brought a sake bottle on the table & did not even do anything to open the bottle, left it there for us to do. Plus when she brought in the cup for the Sake, she brought them with all of her fingers inside the cup 🍶. That's a big no-no.
The restaurant was pretty busy & the environment seemed fast-paced, but the service & food were excellent. The dishes are small & inexpensive & there is also a lot of variety, so it's a great opportunity to try multiple dishes. Lastly, the ambiance is exactly what we were hoping for in an izakaya restaurant. This is a great place to eat & have some drinks!
Overpriced food & drinks. Prices are not reasonable. The chicken wing was too salty, not well cooked. The overall experience was under expected so I won't recommend to go.
The yakitori was great, & definitely a good drinking spot-seems very reserved after 7PM, but the dishes lack an oomph to actual Japanese food or Izakayas in Japan. The interior design is great though. The yakitori might've needed more sauce, only salt to taste on it, & the gyuudon sauce tastes a little too similar yakitori sauce. The lamb skewers were very good, not fatty compared to other shops here. Hot tea was just Oolong who like hot drinks btw.
Nous avons essayé l'endroit pour fêter un anniversaire. C'était parfait, la nourriture est succulente, les brochettes sont merveilleuses, les drinks sont époustouflants. L'ambiance était super & notre serveuse était tellement mignonne & amusante. J'ai hâte d'y revenir. ( j'y suis revenue 5 fois en moins de 80 jours!!! )
Best place to spend the night with your friends, coworkers, family & love ones if you're looking for a chill/cozy/fun vibe drinking session nights with good food to have on the side!
