Passionate about the spanish language. Cedric always so lovely. Food is tasty but would be nicer less black on the breakfast potatoes. Here here Orange Cafe !
Potatoes we're refreshing & unique. They are well seasoned with some nice onions & peppers. Delicious potatoes & different from any other brunch restaurants.
I took the sandwich déjeuner in a croissant & it was excellent. Bacon was just enough crispy & not too fat.
Will come again for sure
Food was just ok. Was a little greasy, but comforting.
Had the big breakfast. Bacon, eggs, ham, French toast, potatoes, & a crepe.Service was great.
I went many years without eating here because the quality had degraded, I came back last year & it was totally different for the better. But my experience today has me completely turned off once again. Quality of the food has gone down, particularly the breakfast potatoes. Creton was inedible. Service also left much to be desired. A table of 4 received one coffee refill & zero water refills during the hour plus we were there. When we went to pay the bill, we received no thanks or a goodbye as we were leaving the restaurant.
You would be best served eating elsewhere for breakfast.
I think this place is no longer what it used to be. I had eggs Benedict as I often do. The eggs come cooked almost hard & cold. I'm aware of how hollandaise sauce works so I understand you can't keep reheating it. Personally I believe that it should be applied to piping hot food & served right away. The grated Gruyère cheese was not melted & the bread was soggy. I think not only under & overcooked at the same time but that it probably sat at the pass for a while. The potatoes have lost all their charm & two tiny sad pieces of fruit. In the recent past I have noticed a major decline in food quality while seeing prices go up. The service today could be described as slow & uninterested. It was not overly busy either. It's not the first time either that I wasn't happy with the food. I was in a few months ago & had a similar experience with my eggs benny although the potatoes were still good at that time. Sad to see this place on the decline
This was my second visit to Orange Cafe. The first time was on a weekend & the place was buzzing & the breakfast was solid. This morning was far from the first experience. Our breakfast arrived barely warm with the exception of the potatoes. The butter was still on the cold toast. Unfortunately, the waitress barely passed by considering it was not very busy for a Monday at 10am. So we did not get a chance to inform her of the situation. She came to fill up our coffee by the time we were more than halfway done eating. What a disappointment!
The portions were ridiculously small. Extremely thin sliced beef salami, beans were in the smallest little tin (a little bigger than a ketchup cup) & only 2 fruits. Lastly, Flavourless undercooked potatoes & a terrible coffee wouldn't return
EXCELLENT breakfast. l pass this restaurant every day & never really give it a sec9nd thought. That was a mistake. This is absolutely a hidden gem & their breakfast is fantastic with rare homemade hasbrown potatoes. We had french toast, bacon, Sausage, hashbrowns, bananas & cheddar scrambled eggs. ALL of it, a solid 5 stars. 2 Thumbs WAY up 👍👍HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I tried orange café three times for brunches. It is usually crowded & the service is fair. The first two times were so good. I am on gluten free diet. They have gluten free toasts (almost extra 3$ charge) & I asked for sweet potatoes instead of the potatoes (also extra charge). The sweet potatoes were good & the whole dish was delicious. The 3rd time I went there, I ordered the same thing I had before with the gluten free toasts. I started eating & I had one whole toast, & all of a sudden the waitress came to tell me that I got the one with normal/gluten toasts & she apologized for this mistake. They brought me another plate but this time the pouched eggs were not well cooked. I got so bloated & with the uncooked pouched eggs , I felt like vomiting. The last experience was not pleasant for me at all. Thank God I am not celiac or allergic otherwise this mistake could harm me in a very bad way. They did not charge me (which is the least they can do). I was bloated & I felt heaviness the whole day coz of this mistake. I put 3 star to pay more attention to such things as this may cause real harm for people with strict dietary restrictions. Despite my last bad experience, they have good options & it is a good place to have a breakfast or a brunch.
Ok, wow. I probably would have passed this place by without even noticing it if it hadn't been for the recommendation of our Airbnb host. It's lovely inside, the booths are so comfy, & the service was quick & wonderful. The menu is big, almost too big, because it's so hard to decide what to get. Everything sounded so good. I don't think you could be disappointed with anything though. We tried omelets, wraps, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies & breakfast potatoes. Everything was amazing. My kids asked to go back tomorrow. We will definitely return if we visit Montreal again.
Tried to order through skip the dishes & the restaurant cancelled my order. Decided to call in for pick up to ask for a breakfast club which includes eggs but when we received it no eggs. Just lot of bread with bacon lettuce tomato & sausage. Also potatoes were extremely salty & over cooked. Pretty disappointing for the price of it
The bagel bread was unfit for a squirrel. But the orange juice was fresh & I managed to enjoy the salmon bagel…sans the bagel. Potatoes were decent…
