I stopped by Orange Café for brunch. The food was good, classic comfort brunch fare, though not particularly exceptional. If I'm in the area & craving this type of meal, I would happily return, but it's not somewhere I would make a special trip for.
The staff were polite & courteous, which made the visit pleasant. Overall, a solid choice for people who enjoy traditional Quebec-style comfort breakfast & brunch dishes.
This establishment is top tier. I went on a quiet day (wednesday) & then their busiest day & time, saturday at 12. The food was the same quality. The staff is onpoint. They have a childrens' memu, coloring books & markers. (The childrens' burger is massive btw.)
There are not much dairyfree options though. 😓
Their prices are reasonable. I intend on going back again & again. Great for big reservations as well as a party of 1. There's an all day bar, great smoothies & every option of breakfast & brunch option.
Thank you Orange Café 🥂🫶🏿
This is an absolute star of a brunch restaurant. Plenty of seating & fantastic, warm service. The restaurant is decorated with photos of the local neighbourhood to make it truly feel situated in the community. The sprawling menu has a gradient of light to heavy picks. I ordered the O.C. sandwich & I'm pretty sure I shaved off a few weeks of my life with this monstruous sandwich. It had enough calories that I didn't need to eat for a full day afterwards- look at the contents & you'll see why. It was a truly special item that you won't find on a menu anywhere else so I could not resist. If I ever return, I have to try the waffle grilled cheese that also caught my eye.
Orange is possibly the best value for breakfast, brunch & lunch in the city (I've never been for dinner). The prices are reasonable, or as reasonable as possible these days, the food is delicious & the potions are extremely generous. For example, HUGE omelettes come with fruit, potato, bread & coffee... it's a significant amount of food for an average price of $18.95. You walk out feeling satisfied & not cheated, like at many other places these days.
Service is great, very friendly staff & always happy to accommodate the customers. It's very conveniently located with parking all around. It's worth going!
Potatoes we're refreshing & unique. They are well seasoned with some nice onions & peppers. Delicious potatoes & different from any other brunch restaurants.
I took the sandwich déjeuner in a croissant & it was excellent. Bacon was just enough crispy & not too fat.
Will come again for sure
This is a warm, welcoming local eatery with delicious meals & a fantastic kids' menu that makes it affordable to take a family out for breakfast/brunch. I love the different eggs benedicts & the kids eat everything on their plates. Portions are generous & service is friendly.
Love their brunch The staff are super friendly. Cédric is always super kind & helpful.
J'ai essayé la "Burger Montréal" , c'etait superbe. La viande était délicieux. La portion était grande. L'atmosphère comme un resto brunch. Je recommande bien!! I tried the "Burger Montréal". It was amazing. The meat is tender & the Burger just melts in your mouth. Portion size is big which is great. I recommend it.
I had a wonderful brunch experience at Orange Cafe, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a variety of tasty options to choose from. Our large group was accommodated with ease, even though we didn't have a reservation. The staff was incredibly friendly & made us feel right at home. It was a fantastic start to our day, & I highly recommend it for a great brunch outing.
Consistently the best brunch in Montreal, & great service. I used to live nearby & desperately miss it. The only down side is that they stopped doing dinner service a few years ago, & their dinner was just as amazing as the brunch! I will forever dream of their cracked black pepper burger...
It's a definite place to go for a lazy weekend brunch. Must try their benniieess.
Amazing brunch place in NDG! It's our go-to place for brunch & good vibes with great staff & delicious food! A must try.
Came here to have brunch before heading downtown via the metro. The wait to be seated was quite long, & we received our food almost an hour after taking a seat. The meal left a lot to be desired, but that might be because I didn't order something they specialize in. The staff were very polite & helpful but were too busy. If visiting, I would recommend getting a reservation if possible, & trying something other than an omelette.
The brunch tasted good & was delicious. There was a waiting line so we had to wait for the waiter to accommodate us. The place has nice photo frames on the walls but it could use a makeover. The seats & tables look very faded & used. It was Sunday noon so I guess it was the busiest time of the week, but it seemed like they were a bit short-staffed. All in all the food was good & the staff were nice but the place needs renovation & cleaning.
I tried orange café three times for brunches. It is usually crowded & the service is fair. The first two times were so good. I am on gluten free diet. They have gluten free toasts (almost extra 3$ charge) & I asked for sweet potatoes instead of the potatoes (also extra charge). The sweet potatoes were good & the whole dish was delicious. The 3rd time I went there, I ordered the same thing I had before with the gluten free toasts. I started eating & I had one whole toast, & all of a sudden the waitress came to tell me that I got the one with normal/gluten toasts & she apologized for this mistake. They brought me another plate but this time the pouched eggs were not well cooked. I got so bloated & with the uncooked pouched eggs , I felt like vomiting. The last experience was not pleasant for me at all. Thank God I am not celiac or allergic otherwise this mistake could harm me in a very bad way. They did not charge me (which is the least they can do). I was bloated & I felt heaviness the whole day coz of this mistake. I put 3 star to pay more attention to such things as this may cause real harm for people with strict dietary restrictions. Despite my last bad experience, they have good options & it is a good place to have a breakfast or a brunch.
