I stopped by Orange Café for brunch. The food was good, classic comfort brunch fare, though not particularly exceptional. If I'm in the area & craving this type of meal, I would happily return, but it's not somewhere I would make a special trip for.
The staff were polite & courteous, which made the visit pleasant. Overall, a solid choice for people who enjoy traditional Quebec-style comfort breakfast & brunch dishes.
Ive been going to Café Orange on & off for about 10 years & I always enjoyed my time here, but last time I went I was really displeased. It took over 15 minutes to get seated when there were seats available & no line, & I could see an older waiter signaling to my waiter to seat me, but the waiter would wave him off, so after a while I just went in & seated myself. So when I sat down, & he finally came over, I said I waited a really long time, he just brushed me off & said,'I just got here' & left. Forget you, bro. I would have been fine with even a small apology, but okay. Just ruined the vibe at the table. I wouldnt want to be served by him ever again.
Lovely staff always, William que me hable en espanol, me gusta mucho eso. Passionate about the spanish language. Cedric always so lovely. Food is tasty but would be nicer less black on the breakfast potatoes. Here here Orange Cafe !
This establishment is top tier. I went on a quiet day (wednesday) & then their busiest day & time, saturday at 12. The food was the same quality. The staff is onpoint. They have a childrens' memu, coloring books & markers. (The childrens' burger is massive btw.)
There are not much dairyfree options though. 😓
Their prices are reasonable. I intend on going back again & again. Great for big reservations as well as a party of 1. There's an all day bar, great smoothies & every option of breakfast & brunch option.
Thank you Orange Café 🥂🫶🏿
I live in Warwick NY, I've got 2 daughters that attend SUNY Plattsburgh. Montréal is an awesome, & beautiful city to visit. We love making day trips, we're making great memories & having a blast. But first we stop at Orange Cafe'. Great food, great atmosphere, & great people. You will not be disappointed!!
I've liked Orange Cafe in the past but my last experience was disappointing.
I was charged extra for a change I made to my order (I actually had fewer ingredients than the item I ordered) & was not told about the charge until I saw it on my bill. I also did not receive the full order I was promised in the first place. Unfortunately I only realized I was missing items after I left. I called to talk to them about that the next day that I felt I was overcharged but no one called me back which sent me the message that they really don't care about their customers. Such a shame because I really like that place but would never go back.
Orange Café truly shines with its delectable dishes, offering generous portions of freshly prepared breakfast favorites that consistently impress. The service is attentive & efficient, even on busy weekends, ensuring a welcoming experience for all patrons. The cozy ambiance provides a warm & inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a meal amidst the bustling charm of Montreal's Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighborhood.
Today I went to the Orange Cafe On Decarie with my two friends. It happened to be the Day of Trump's inauguration. The waitress had us right underneath the TV screen. We all ordered breakfast dishes. I had the Mexican omelet my friend had the waffles, & my other friend had avacado toast. My omelet was delicious. It included a soup. Both my friends enjoyed their food as well. The dishes included unlimited coffee. This was my fourth time at this restaurant. The waitress was friendly & the service was good. It has a nice ambience. It's a well known establishment on the west side. The portions are generous as well. I would recommend this place.
This was my second visit to Orange Cafe. The first time was on a weekend & the place was buzzing & the breakfast was solid. This morning was far from the first experience. Our breakfast arrived barely warm with the exception of the potatoes. The butter was still on the cold toast. Unfortunately, the waitress barely passed by considering it was not very busy for a Monday at 10am. So we did not get a chance to inform her of the situation. She came to fill up our coffee by the time we were more than halfway done eating. What a disappointment!
This place is a Gem. Great food huge portions. Le serveur m'a également préparé un café pour emporter. Très satisfait du service & de la nourriture.
It's very rare to find a place that feels like home...especially when your a tourist. We arrived from Melbourne the day before & Orange Cafe was our first breakfast...& we were hooked. The incredible big breakfasts, the easy parking, the super friendly staff (shoutout to Cheng, Will & Nick) & of course the legendary owner Ed. We ended up visiting a few more times whilst in Montreal & now back in Australia, I'm hard pressed to find anything close to Orange Cafe. Merci to you all, thanks for putting so much love in what you do. It was much appreciated PS: we will be back!!
Great & delicious food & service. Very nice cafe that provides a cozy feel.
I had a wonderful brunch experience at Orange Cafe, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a variety of tasty options to choose from. Our large group was accommodated with ease, even though we didn't have a reservation. The staff was incredibly friendly & made us feel right at home. It was a fantastic start to our day, & I highly recommend it for a great brunch outing.
I recently stumbled upon Orange Cafe, a charming breakfast spot with both a cozy & bustling ambiance. Their menu is deliciously diverse, offering a variety of options to choose from. The service is attentive, & the welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal place to kickstart your day.
I come here often because the food & vibe are amazing but I've had May as my server numerous times & she literally brightens my day. She is so kind, so nice & very attentive to her clients. The staff here is very welcoming & I will never stop coming to orange cafe :)))
I tried orange café three times for brunches. It is usually crowded & the service is fair. The first two times were so good. I am on gluten free diet. They have gluten free toasts (almost extra 3$ charge) & I asked for sweet potatoes instead of the potatoes (also extra charge). The sweet potatoes were good & the whole dish was delicious. The 3rd time I went there, I ordered the same thing I had before with the gluten free toasts. I started eating & I had one whole toast, & all of a sudden the waitress came to tell me that I got the one with normal/gluten toasts & she apologized for this mistake. They brought me another plate but this time the pouched eggs were not well cooked. I got so bloated & with the uncooked pouched eggs , I felt like vomiting. The last experience was not pleasant for me at all. Thank God I am not celiac or allergic otherwise this mistake could harm me in a very bad way. They did not charge me (which is the least they can do). I was bloated & I felt heaviness the whole day coz of this mistake. I put 3 star to pay more attention to such things as this may cause real harm for people with strict dietary restrictions. Despite my last bad experience, they have good options & it is a good place to have a breakfast or a brunch.
We were disappointed with the food & service. Waiter didn't refill water or coffee or ask if everything was alright. In general slow service. Food was served cold & the apple crepe was terrible, the apples were dry & old. (see pic) We weren't happy with our experience which was unfortunate as we have enjoyed Orange cafe in the past.
We had a party of 8 people on a crowded Sunday & the staff made tremendous efforts to accommodate us. The food was excellent as always (I had an omelet). Orange Cafe will always be our'go to' place for a great breakfast.
