The raw tuna & salmon were served warm - that's dangerous. The onigiri rice was also warm when it should be cool... One kind female worker was juggling serving, taking orders, & washing dishes all at once. The male worker spent the entire time chatting with someone & couldn't even tell us where the garbage bin was. 5 stars reviews were given by people that never tasted good food. Between the subpar food quality & questionable sanitation practices, I can't recommend this place.
I asked my boyfriend to get me a raw salmon & a spicy tuna onigiri as I waited outside with my dog. It came out, but they mistakenly put the tuna & salmon into one onigiri. My bf went inside to tell them of their mistake, & they made me two more onigiris without charging us anything. Great atmosphere & attention to customers. The food is always a 10/10
4.99 for a nice portion of onigiri with generous filling. Spicy salmon, tuna & eel onigiri are the best!
I was so excited to try this place based on the great reviews but I was pretty disappointed. I'm not sure if I just ordered the worst of the menu but I tried both the tuna mayo & the veggie mix & both were REALLY bland & lacking in flavour. More seasoning would be key (maybe some furikake?) & even more vinegar in the rice for some acidity. My husband tried the seasoned egg yolk & the shrimp one & liked those. The ingredients were fresh on the plus side so I'm willing to give it another shot.
So many choices to choose from that you can find something you will like. I've tried Unagi, Spicy Tuna, Omega 3, & Mount Fuji. The ingredients are fresh & the rice is cooked & flavored deliciously. 2 onigiri's are plenty to fill your appetite. Not many places to sit, but there are a few seats indoors & outdoors where you can people watch. I'll be back.
Onigiri was great & relatively cheap & something you can easily eat on the go. Got the mixed salmon & tuna as well as the Taiwanese braised pork. Their seafood one was better though the pork was also delicious.
Exploring new neighborhood for me & I saw this onigiri store from the outside with the banner said "starting from $3.99" & I couldn't resist to try & it's true. The basic onigiri, the tuna onigiri that I ordered was $3.99, but the thing that makes me surprised was with that price, the made a very good onigiri. The rice is good, the filling is generous, up until the bottom of the onigiri & almosy over the inside of the onigiri. I also ordered the beef tama onigiri, & their specialties, Mont-Royal, which cost a little bit pricier but still good & 3 of those onigiri enough to fill me for the whole day. The place on the other hand is really small & sometimes it can be crowded. On summer, there's an outside terrase, but on winter, I can see this place would be a little bit tight. Also there's a sushi store connected to the onigiri & you can order the sushi & eat in the onigiri place too.
One word, delicious... It was worth waiting in line for 5-10 minutes. Inside, there are a few seats available but it's very small. We ordered a bit of everything to try including the unagi, soy egg yolk, spicy raw tuna, Korean fried chicken & the salmon luxe. To be honest, the simpler the tastier! So the spicy tuna & soy egg yolk were my favorite. The salmon luxe had both tuna & salmon in it, but I couldn't taste the difference, so what's the point of getting it. Also, very good quality price. You get a huge onigiri for about 4$ if you go with the classics but it can go to 8$.
For the price & portion size, this place is fantastic. I'm a pretty big eater, so sushi meals are usually expensive but here I'm full for about 20$. I will say the ingredients are not the freshest (I don't recommend the tuna) nor is the rice the best seasoned, but for the price it's great!

Not more than one per person. I try the spicy tuna raw, the fried chicken & the shrimp & kanikama . The shrimp one was my favourite, but they are all good. My tip to the owner it would be to make mini ones, because I want to try them all , but it's impossible to eat even two.
