Ordered sweet ricotta! Been so addicted to ricotta lately & this one is so good with a strong orange fragrance! Would definitely try to make it at home! Love it! The yogurt bowl is also good!
We arrived right before it opened & there was a small line up forming. We were seated & the staff began to take orders right away. Coffees & other drinks came out fairly quickly. We ordered the cuban sandwich & a sconewich. The cuban sandwich was so zesty & comforting. The pressed sandwich was definite my favourite. Great amount of cheese & meat & the sauce was a good complement. Sconewich was something new we tried, we will try to replicate it at home as it was a good combination.

After not coming here for about a year & a half, I was stunned to see the price of a grilled cheese! $26.95! Wow! If you're going to charge that it should be overflowing with cheese as always ! Not the case this time..1 salad 1 grilled cheese 2 cans of carbonated water 75$
Popped in for lunch on a Friday & it was very busy but as it was just me I didn't have to wait to be seated. The staff were super friendly & when it became clear I could speak & understand French to an extent they made an effort to talk to me & help me practice my French! I got the Salad 24 which was absolutely massive & one of the best, if not the best, salad(s) I've ever had. I took my time eating & enjoying the meal & although the staff checked up on me I didn't feel rushed to leave or that I was taking up space. The waitress took the time to talk me through the dessert options & I finished with their lemon & currant scone which was delicious & left the cafe about 2 hours after arriving. Cannot highlight enough how friendly & welcoming the staff were & how good the food was!! Probably my favourite dining experience of my entire trip, I would definitely return again if I could. Je suis venu déjeuner un vendredi & c'était très occupé, mais comme c'était juste moi, je n'avais pas à attendre pour être assis. Le personnel était super sympa & quand il est devenu clair que je pouvais parler & comprendre le français dans une certaine mesure, ils ont fait un effort pour me parler & m'aider à pratiquer mon français! J'ai eu la salade 24 qui était absolument massive & l'un des meilleurs, sinon le meilleur, salade(s) que j'ai jamais eu. J'ai pris mon temps pour manger & profiter du repas & bien que le personnel ait vérifié sur moi, je ne me suis pas senti pressé de partir ou que je prenais de la place. La serveuse a pris le temps de me parler des options de dessert & j'ai fini avec leur scone au citron & au cassis qui était délicieux & a quitté le café environ 2 heures après son arrivée. Je ne peux pas souligner assez à quel point le personnel était sympathique & accueillant & à quel point la nourriture était bonne! Probablement mon expérience culinaire préférée de tout mon voyage, je reviendrais certainement si je le pouvais.
Olive & Gourmando is a nice spot for breakfast & lunch. Despite being busy, the service was fast. We enjoyed our cappuccinos & almond croissants, which were delicious. The Cuban sandwich was a standout-packed with flavor & oozing with cheese. Overall, a great place for a tasty meal.
This is a delightful restaurant in Montreal Old Town. Very friendly team, always super busy so arrive 30 mins before you want a table & get your name down. The salmon & rice salad was utterly divine, highly recommend, as well as the Chai Latte (iced).

Food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The potato salad is so uniquely refreshing - best one I've ever had. Was not expecting to be thinking about the potato salad. If it's crowded just get it for takeout & go to the nearby park.
I went for breakfast/brunch as it is very popular in Montreal & usually filled with tourists. I personally did not like the breakfast menu at all - it wasn't particularly delicious & very basic. However, the food is fresh & very well presented. I do believe that you can find better breakfast/brunch in Montreal, & it isn't really worth it here. Nevertheless, I have heard more positive comments about their lunch menu, although it is quite pricey, I think the quality is there.
Il faut faire la queue pour obtenir une table, mais chaque minute d'attente en vaut la peine. Très bonne cuisine, excellente ambiance de travail qui transmet de très bonnes vibrations aux convives, simplement spectaculaire. 100% recommandé. Merci!!!
This salad was so good I could eat it every day. Great choice is traveling alone as they seat you with others & I made friends & got ideas of what to do with my free time. & how could I forget"etc the brownie!! I wrote this months ago & am now adding this revision. The brownie is worth the calories. Don't hesitate!! The photo was added in 2024 as I came back & apparently ordered the same salad.
The best potato salad of my entire entire life that was worth the wait time ! Only 35 min wait for 2 people on a Sunday & they were accurate with the timing. Chicken sandwich would pass honestly the Cuban was better for sure. Price was pretty high for a brunch
I went here in 2014 during a work conference. It was such a wonderful experience, my co-worker & I went back the next day. I can't even remember exactly what I had, but I remember it being incredibly fresh, delicious, & it clearly left me wanting to try all the other things on the menu. Awesome to see it's still open!
$27 for a Cuban sandwich is kind of a lot, but it was pretty good. Not $27 good though. Great coffee & pastries which are reasonably priced. Watching the staff run around was excellent entertainment. I didn't see them order but they ATE.
