To my surprise, this year they charge more if you want to sit & enjoy the food at the restaurant. I bought 3 plain croissants & 2 cappuccino & was shock when the bill was close to 40$!!! Almost double the price if I bought them to go! I'm very disappointed with this new price system.
This place is amazing! Although I have never been , I just had two of their pastries & it was one of the best quality buttery pastries I have ever eaten! I cannot wait to bring my family! Such tasty & delicious pastries! Thank you👌
You get what you pay for. Their pastries & cakes are a cut above the rest. Highly recommend them for holiday themed cakes, such as Valentine's or Mother's Day. I order here for these every year & each cake is fantastic.
I HIGHLY recommend the passionfruit tarts, but all their pastries are good. Really nice café, service is good, decor is good, but it can be very busy at times
We have been regular customers at this pastry shop in Laval for quite some time, & it has always been one of our favorite places to get croissants & other treats. Unfortunately, during our recent visits, we've noticed a concerning decline in cleanliness & hygiene practices.
Last Saturday morning, I went in as usual to buy my croissant. The employee who came to serve me had been cleaning while wearing blue gloves. She then came directly to the counter & started putting my order into the bag without changing her gloves. This is not the first time we've noticed similar behavior - employees handling money & food with the same gloves, which is simply unacceptable.
We truly enjoy your pastries & want to continue supporting this business, but proper hygiene is essential in any food establishment. We hope management takes this feedback seriously & improves food safety practices moving forward.
Quality of their pastries went down while they are overpriced. We bought chocolate croissant (no flakiness, no chocolate, worse than a supermarket mass produced). Raspberry croissant had so much filling that became bitter, with no crispness whatsoever.
We went there yesterday & had a very unpleasant experience. The place was extremely crowded, & while we were seated & enjoying the pastries we had already paid for, a staff member came over & forced us to change tables so another family could sit where we were.
We were comfortable at our table, but the one they wanted us to move to was in the middle of a very crowded area. There was also a child at the table next to us screaming & jumping on chairs, which made it even worse. I refused several times & explained that we would leave in about 10 minutes if needed, but the staff made it clear that we had no choice if we wanted to stay & eat what we had already purchased.
I even suggested asking another table if they would be willing to move, but the staff refused. What made the situation more frustrating is that the family seated next to us had empty plates, while ours were still full, yet they were never asked to change places.
This felt very unfair & showed a lack of respect & equal treatment toward customers. The pastries were good, but good food does not justify such poor customer service. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, & we will not be returning.
their croissants are the best! no one compares. their pastries & hot chocolate are also really good. service & ambience is always great!
The store itself is nice & the cakes & pastries look appealing. However, the berry cake I bought was nothing to write home about. The charlotte was in fact a mousse & it was too light to my taste (I would say tasteless, but that's just me) & definitely not worth the $46 I paid for it. Plus, the cardboard box they used as a carrier is low quality. Upon arriving home, the handle snapped, resulting in the box dropping on the floor. Fortunately, no major damage happen & I was able to put it back together. Bottom line, I would not go there again since I expect the quality to be above average & it just wasn't there.
