Ate the tarte au citron. The meringue was very thick & sweet. The lemon filling had an odd metal taste??? The tarte was also very hard to cut because the meringue was sticking to the knife.
Also adding a message to the cake costs an extra 5$.
I did have the paris brest on another occasion, & that was good.
A true taste of French baking at the heart of Laval! The actual location does not provide a lot of scenery yet inside it is a feeling of being in a French coffeehouse in Paris. The cakes are shaped in art form. I had breakfast. The only issue I had is that the croissant got wet from the sauce which should have been put aside

A fantastic cake shop with a great variety of fresh & delicious cakes. Everything tastes & high quality. The shop is very clean, & the staff are friendly, polite, & welcoming.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for great cakes & excellent service.
Un bon service, les serveuses sont accueillantes & chaleureuses, & les gâteaux sont délicieux dans l'ensemble sauf pour le cheese cake qui est limite catastrophique. Les prix sont assez chers & le même article a deux prix différents: le prix sur place est plus cher qu'à emporter. À mon avis cette pratique n'encourage pas les clients à laisser du tips.
The store itself is nice & the cakes & pastries look appealing. However, the berry cake I bought was nothing to write home about. The charlotte was in fact a mousse & it was too light to my taste (I would say tasteless, but that's just me) & definitely not worth the $46 I paid for it. Plus, the cardboard box they used as a carrier is low quality. Upon arriving home, the handle snapped, resulting in the box dropping on the floor. Fortunately, no major damage happen & I was able to put it back together. Bottom line, I would not go there again since I expect the quality to be above average & it just wasn't there.

The quality of the trompe oeils are impecable. A literal piece of art. I loved how all of them had a great balance of sweet, tart & sour. I loved the different textures too.
My personal favorite was the lemon one, it's small, soft & sour. My partner enjoyed the cocoa one, because it had a rich chocolate taste. The mango one was refreshing & I loved the fresh mango cubes inside. The pear looked so realistic & the flavour is subtle, yet earthy.
We got coffee to go with our cakes & they were great too !
Overall, we loved the desserts & we will be coming back !
Exquisite cakes, pastries & more - absolutely delicious. Quality is superior & attention to detail is unparallel. Everything ordered there is always absolutely amazing!

The Pistachio buche taste was nice & the texture as well. Chocolate caramel buche taste was also nice but it's like a normal cake, it doesn't look like a buche de noël (tree trunk)
This is our go-to place when we need a special events cake. We try different ones every time, & all are excellent. We order on-line & pick it up the day of the special event. Very easy, fast & convenient. Can't wait until the next birthday :-)
They made Cake like in France. The Saint Honoré is a classic, but theirs is just well executed. 👌 Thank you ÔFauria, that cake brought us back in childhood.
