I noodles dandan e zhajiang (quelli senza zuppa) sono assolutamente spettacolari. Tutti i piatti possono essere ordinati con il tipo di noodle che si preferisce fatto sul momento, vengono prodotti costantemente e in grande quantità sotto gli occhi di tutti. Il prezzo, viste anche le porzioni molto generose, è più che onesto. Uno dei pasti migliori a Montréal. C'è sempre fila perché la sala è piccola e i posti limitati quindi è importante munirsi di pazienza e arrivare in anticipo, il personale non spiccica una parola manco se ti ammazzi ma fa il suo lavoro con efficienza. L'ambiente è piuttosto cupo e caldissimo, gioverebbe di qualche ventilatore in più (per non dire l'aria condizionata) e ha al centro una scala mobile che porta ad un supermercato asiatico interrato, il viavai umano mentre si mangia è un degno intrattenimento. Buona anche l'opzione di mangiare da soli anche se i posti riservati ai clienti solitari danno sulla parete quindi sembra di essere in punizione.
Good but not worth the wait line. I had the soup with the thickest round noodles. The broth tasted very much like traditional pho. I was expecting something different. The fresh noodles are amazing & I love watching them get made, it's so fascinating. The portions are huge. I had the small & could barely finish it. The meat was pretty good & tender nothing special. The egg was nice, it actually did take abit like tea. I had the algae/potato salad. I RARELY use this word but I hated it. I've had seaweed salad before, the glossy sushi restaurant type but this was completely different. Crunchy texture & it tasted like fishy slime. I had to add alot of spicy sesame paste they had on the table to make it bearable. The service was very fast no complaints there. All in all its a good place but if there's a lineup don't bother.

Très petit on se fait régulièrement bousculer par les serveurs. L'eau ne goûte pas bon, cela n'inspire pas confiance pour le bouillon. Ne pas être pressé, attente systématique. Ma dernière visite fut plus que déplaisante: ils ont perdu ma commande donc n'ayant plus le temps de recommander, j'ai du me résigner à quitter le restaurant le ventre vide après avoir attendu plus de 45 minutes, presque pas d'excuses.
Look, this place was great, but one of the staff can ruin the whole experience of eating at this place. The food was great, the service was decent. So why did I score 1 star? Because one of the staff explicitly said if you eat here you have to give tips. I'm sorry, isn't the whole point of tipping is you gave as a gratuity. Since when is that this guy said that you have to pay tips. I'm sorry, I do give tips, but when you about to pay & he bluntly said that you have to give tips because you eat here just interesting & I flat out said, they call it tips because it's a discretionary not mandatory.
The waiter was so rude & defiant & even want to "teach" his client to "be polite" even if he was not able to do so. I was waiting for 10 minutes & no one even speak to me, & when the waiter came he just ignored me turn to the next client, he told me that I should wait in the "right place" however I was the FIRST ARRIVAL & NO ONE TOLD ME ONE WORD ON THE PLACE I SHOULD STAY. What is more, after splashing water on my hand his first reflection was not to say sorry but to say he was touched by someone else. I was so angry would definitively not return.

Je suis allée pour dîner & j'ai mangé la fameuse soupe au boeuf, épicée, avec les nouilles maxi, c'est-à-dire les plus petites. Les nouilles sont excellentes & fraîchement préparées. Par contre, là ou j'ai moins aimé, c'est le bouillon. Je l'ai trouvé fade & sans goût. Il manquait clairement de saveur dans le bouillon. Pas vraiment de légumes non plus, mise à part la tranche de daikon, les oignons verts & la coriandre.
Si on vient mangé une soupe, c'est clairement pour les nouilles & non le bouillon.
Je ne crois pas revenir manger ici, mais peut-être pour goûter les nouilles dan dan, un plat & non une soupe.
Les prix sont très raisonnables & l'ambiance est bonne pour ce genre de petit resto.
