We went during the Ramzan season & the evening food was ammazing!! We had Goat Haleem & Naam along with Chicken Gongura Biryani. The food was simply mouth watering. Goat Haleem was the show stopper!!
Best south Indian food in Montreal. This place maintains it's consistency, unlike most other restaurants. I love their Mutton Biryani, Sambar rice, Chicken fried rice.

Went to this place on a Tuesday with kids for dinner, based on Instagram recommendations. In Montreal for the first time, so lot of our food trips are reliant on reviews & IG.
Kids were super hungry & tired & so we ordered the most basic dishes expecting it will be given faster...

Asked a question: How many pieces will Naan have?
Response: Depending on the chef on how he cuts it...
Wow...I was not prepared for that answer. Lol.
Waited for almost 20-30 mins & ended up asking to make it a take out.
It's only after I got up & spoke up, all the apologies started coming in. I know being understaffed during a weekday during holiday season, could be a major problem for the staff. I get it. A heads up would have been great.
The food was not what I expected based on all the Instagram Hype..
Butter chicken was sweet but definitely not butter chicken, something more like boiled chicken in Korma gravy.
Biriyani was salty & did not taste well at all..
We ordered the special chicken biryani & it was extremely disappointing. The taste was very poor & not worth the price at all. If this is their'special' biryani, I can't imagine the quality of the regular one.Even simple lemon rice tastes 1,000 times better than this biryani.Please don't waste people's hard-earned money. Due to the poor taste, we threw away the entire biryani.
My recent experience at Our Place MTL was completely unacceptable. I mistakenly ordered the chicken thali instead of the butter chicken, & despite the similar price, the restaurant refused to swap my order. To make matters worse, when I received my order, my chicken thali was missing three items. When I called the restaurant, the woman at the reception said she would send them, but it felt like a joke-they clearly don't check their orders before they send them out. The lack of care & pathetic customer service means I will not be returning..The owner must understand customer service & do check before pack & send.
Nice ambience, service & good food. Tried goat biryani, chicken biryani & chicken 65. Everything is perfectly cooked & the taste is awesome. Must visit place.
The chicken 65 Biryani is so delicious! However if you're like me & don't really eat spicy hot food, be sure to use a lot of the yogurt sauce that comes with it.

We visited the our place south Indian restaurant last night & overall had a great experience. The dosa we ordered was absolutely delicious - crisp, flavorful, & served hot. One of the best we've had in a while!
What really made our visit memorable was the service by *Dhruva. Even though she was managing the entire dining area alone on a busy night, she remained calm, courteous, & incredibly professional. She took the time to explain the full menu, patiently answered our questions, & recommended the *goat fresh cut biryani** instead of the chicken. It turned out to be a fantastic choice - rich, aromatic, & full of flavor.
The atmosphere was quite nice overall. There was soft background music playing which added a pleasant vibe, but on the downside, there was a lot of loud shouting & noise coming from the kitchen, which slightly disrupted the dining experience.
It was clear they were facing a staff shortage, but the girl handled everything with grace & efficiency. She truly went above & beyond to ensure every customer felt attended to.
Would definitely recommend this place for its food & the excellent effort shown by the staff, especially Dhruva.

We ordered chill chicken, the tasty was good but the chicken was like rubber & felt like an old one
We ordered punugulu they were good & fresh leaving the chutneys
We ordered chicken 65 biryani, the fried onions tasted bitter & very old & same with the chicken this biryani was a disaster & felt like it was served from days ago
Overall would not go there again!!!
Ordered the butter chicken combo which tasted pretty good overall, the naan was great, the rice was great. However, the chicken tasted very very sweet which was a bit offputting.
I visited Our Place for dinner & i totally loved all the items I tried. I tried chicken biriyani, Apollo fish. Every dish was flavourful. Restaurant atmosphere is cozy & I am happy with the service.

I had chicken dosa yesterday. I have to say I was truly satisfied & enjoyed each & every bite. Please don't change any recipes & stick on to the same format! The chutneys were worth it! Sambhar was too good! Best in Montreal ! Best place to have Dosa.
I recently visited the South Indian restaurant in Montreal, & I was impressed by the luxurious feel created by the black-themed interiors. We tried the Chicken Kothu Porotta, Szechwan Cheese Dosa, & Idli. The Kothu Porotta was a bit different from what I'm used to, but it was still delicious with a unique masala. The Szechwan Cheese Dosa was also tasty. However, the Idli didn't quite meet my expectations.
Best biryani I've ever had. I eat it every week, I'm addicted 😍. Edit: it's a shame that I have to change my review. I still order chicken Biryani every week & it is usually delicious but sometimes I receive a completely different Biryani with surprise ingredients & that's really not okay. Today my order has different spices & I don't like the flavor, there's also no onions & they added cashews!!? I don't like cooked cashews & they're a fairly common allergy so it's pretty risky to just add them without warning. This has happened several times in the past already & it's just so disappointing.
