First time going there . Amazing food & staff. The Pani Puri was to die for & the badam chai was something out of this world. The host Kiran was such a lovely young lady that gave us great recommendations on what to try. She's definitely a gem ! Will definitely go again
We had a great experience here. Muskan was incredibly helpful, friendly, & supportive throughout our visit. She made sure everything was taken care of & provided excellent customer service.
The food was delicious & full of flavor. The dosa was perfectly prepared, & the biryani was outstanding-definitely a must-try! The quality, taste, & overall dining experience exceeded our expectations.
Highly recommend this place for both the excellent food & the warm hospitality. We will definitely be coming back! 😊
Had an amazing dinner today at this place & Muskan was the highlight. From the moment we sat down she was warm, patient, & knew the menu inside out. She recommended the perfect dosa combo for us, checked back without hovering, & refilled water before we even asked. Service with a smile + real care - that's rare. Thank you Muskan for making our meal memorable! Definitely we will visit again😊😇
That place was awesome! I went for the dosa & it totally hit the spot. I'd definitely go back for the giant one.
It was around 4pm, so there was tons of space & no wait. The music was great too.
We visited My Place South Indian Restaurant in Montreal during a trip from Ottawa & tried the non-veg thali & a dosa. The thali was decent, but it didn't really feel like authentic South Indian food to us. It seemed more like North Indian flavors being adapted into South Indian dishes. The dosa, however, was quite good & definitely the highlight of the meal. The sambar could have been more flavorful & authentic. The chutneys were amazing!
The ambiance also didn't really give an Indian restaurant vibe & the cleanliness could be improved a bit. Overall, I would go back for the dosa, but I probably wouldn't order the thali again.
I ordered butter chicken, paneer butter masala, & tandoori naan, & honestly the entire meal was a letdown. Everything tasted like it came from a completely different cuisine. The food had no flavor, was overly sweet, & the portions were mediocre at best.
The butter chicken was the biggest shock. It was literally yellow, which already told me something was off. It didn't taste like butter chicken at all. This cannot be tomato based curry. There was no richness, no spices, nothing. Just a sweet, bland sauce that felt like it was missing every ingredient that makes the dish what it's supposed to be.
Paneer butter masala was no better…… same sweetness, same lack of depth, same disappointment. This was the red curry in pic. I could only taste paprika in this dish.
Even the naan was meh. Hard & nothing memorable. This was probably the best tasting one..
Anyways this was beyond disappointed experience.
It was $55. Portion was not terrible but not great. If you season your chicken with salt & pepper only, you will find this okay. But if you ever tried real authentic indian curry, this will be waste of your money & time.
