I got just a regular latte, & it tasted really weird like no other espresso ive had before. I didnt leave a tip this time & I felt like the barista just gave me the leftover espresso from another drink. I was disappointed because I need a coffee shop to go to early by my apartment, but there is no reason for me to return because the espresso tasted really bad & I wouldnt spend money there again.
I asked for a cold brew affogato, & the female barista insisted that'affogato can only be made with hot espresso' & said they couldn't do it.
Of course, I know that technically that's true - but in Toronto or Montreal, I've never been to a café that didn't get what I meant. No one ever argued with me about whether it should be called a'float' or an'affogato.'
I don't know if this was some kind of discrimination, but it definitely felt off.
The funniest part? I came back the next day, & it turned out that she had even forgotten to put cocoa powder on my mocha the day before. XD

Mon go-to. Les employés sont très mignon.es & sympathiques, en plus de leur talent de baristas. La mouture change fréquemment, donc c'est parfait pour essayer de nouveaux profils de goûts. C'est une tout petite boutique super intime, & ça crée une super ambiance l'été avec leur petite terrasse & le service à la fenêtre.
A lovely, bright, tiny cafe. I got a latte &, on the previous customer's recommendation, an almond croissant. The barista was very kind. The food & drink were delicious & a great way to start a day.
Le mocha était magnifique, la barista avait compris "capucino" à la première fois, de sorte qu'il y a eu un erreur dans le commande... On s'entend que la différence entre le son de la lettre "M" & la lettre "C" est bien distinct 😅 même si j'ai un accent espagnol... Mais overall le café est excellent 👌
The coffee & drinks are fine. Pastries are good. I appreciate the points, that's very unique, & I think it's a nice gesture. I do understand the coffee shop is grab & go & can't have ppl waiting inside for their order. I do find that some exceptions can be made, for example a family with a baby. Today it was rainy & pretty windy. We ordered & were waiting on the side, not in the way of other customers & we were told to wait outside with the baby. No apologies, no explanation. I get it, the barista looked young & may not have children, so she may not understand, but her way of telling us to wait outside was cold & uncaring... I get its a small space & there was people waiting, but we were not in the way & had our baby with us in arms.

Achalandé ou pas, chaque fois que je passe ici, c'est comme si je dérangeais les baristas. Le café est bon, mais j'aime mieux le prendre dans un autre genre d'ambiance. Dommage, car c'est un joli coin!
Une parenthèse glacée enchantée par temps ensoleillé Presque déjà saturé de sorties pendant la semaine, j'étais réticent à prendre la route à nouveau & j'envisageais plutôt une soirée tranquille à la maison. Je me suis laissé toutefois « convaincre » par un texto de mon amie K qui, elle, avait fortement envie d'une nouvelle aventure culinaire. Lorsqu'interrogée à ce sujet, elle a exprimé le désir de déguster une glace. Ayant peu espoir de pouvoir exaucer son souhait, je croise sur Google Maps le Noble Café qui semble en faire la vente. La saison des crèmes glacées n'est pas encore officiellement lancée à la grandeur de la métropole, je confirme verbalement qu'on peut s'y procurer ce dessert. Très bien ! En route ! Dans les alentours du café règne une ambiance bohème. Un marché aux puces d'un jour se tient à l'Église catholique Saint-Denis & de nombreux jeunes vaquaient & s'étalaient çà & là, profitant du merveilleux temps & d'une prestation musicale d'un artiste au pied du métro. Une petite file s'étire à l'extérieur de la crèmerie/café. Il ne peut en être autrement, seules trois ou quatre personnes peuvent entrer confortablement en même temps. Ma compagne de table & son proverbial retard se font attendre, mais je décide de gagner du temps en me mettant dans la file. Par une belle coïncidence, elle se pointe au moment même où j'arrive en tête de la queue. La barista, sympathique, mais perceptiblement pressée, m'explique brièvement la courte carte : tout est à base de vanille. Ce sera donc une savoureuse crème glacée au matcha pour mademoiselle, une autre jolie « London Fog » pour monsieur & un chocolat chaud, riche & apaisant, pour nous deux. S'ensuit alors un délicieux moment de détente où il n'existe plus que mon palais, mes petits délices sucrés & mon amie au style vestimentaire blanc & bleu résolument estival. Entouré de jeunes & de moins jeunes discutant allègrement, bercé par la musique, je suis au comble du contentement. Il y avait donc en ce magnifique samedi après-midi une réunion idoine de facteurs, assavoir, l'agréable camaraderie, la météo parfaite avec un air folâtre, & de très bonnes glaces (notamment celle au matcha) qui contribuèrent à générer cet effet tant désiré de pure déconnexion, allant même jusqu'à oublier que je devais faire l'épicerie alors que nous nous mettions d'accord sur une deuxième destination. À suivre... !
