Mythos Ouzeri Estiatorio Montreal Restaurant: Menu, Reviews & Reserve (2026)
Greek
Restaurant Mythos Ouzeri Estiatorio is a Greek hotspot on Parc Avenue in Mile-end, Montreal. A riotous bouzouki band is performing from Thursday to Sunday, encouraging diners to get up and dance on the dance floor (dancing on the tables is also common at Mythos). Specialties include, fried bread with a pepper and feta cheese dip, mincemeat patties with mint combine with traditional lamb, seafood appetizers and main courses, fresh fish and more. Mythos Restaurant boats one of the finest Greek menus in Montreal. In the summer, the patio is a great spot also.

Review Summary

Across reviews, Mythos Ouzeri Estiatorio is described as a warm, welcoming spot with an authentic Greek vibe where generous portions and well prepared classics such as seafood and grilled dishes meet attentive service and a lively atmosphere, especially on weekends with live music. The ambiance ranges from intimate and homelike to bustling and social, creating a memorable dining experience even as a few notes of noise or cool air and occasional service hiccups are mentioned. Diners frequently highlight consistent quality, nostalgic flavors, and the restaurant as a benchmark for Greek cuisine, though some feel prices are high for what is offered. Overall, the collection of impressions points to strong food, atmosphere, and hospitality that keep guests returning, with caveats about noise, cost, and rare missteps.

It is a rare thing for a restaurant to hold a permanent lease in your mind, especially when you haven't stepped through its doors in 10+ years. Yet, Mythos Ouzeri remains that rare exception a place that defines'reliable excellence' long after the last meal was served.

?Even with the passage of time, the memory of their food hasn't faded, which speaks volumes about the uncompromising quality they bring to the table. ?Why It Still Ranks at the Top for me?
?The Authentic Vibe It's not just a meal; it's an atmosphere. Whether you're there for a full spread or just some mezedes & ouzo, the energy is consistently warm & welcoming.

Their ?Seafood grilled octopus & fresh fish have always been the gold standard. It's hard to find places that treat simple ingredients with that much respect.
? Even as food trends come & go, Mythos stays true to the soul of Greek cuisine. That's why, years later, the craving for their specific flavors is still just as strong.
?
?If a restaurant can make you feel nostalgic for a flavor you haven't tasted in years, they've done something right. Mythos Ouzeri isn't just a local spot; it's a benchmark for what great Greek food should be.

?Even after a long hiatus, my love for this place is unshaken. If you're looking for high-quality, soulful Mediterranean food that leaves a lasting impression, this is it.

What an incredible experience dining at Mythos 💙. The tasting menu is fantastic & the food was grilled to perfection 🍽?. Some of the most exceptional service we've ever gotten; thank you Niko & the rest of the staff 🙏. This was our third celebration there over the recent years, & it never disappoints. Thank you for sharing your exceptional Greek cuisine & atmosphere with us 🇬🇷🏺(we also enjoyed a live band on Saturday evening 🎶). Enjoy! 🥂

Mythos is a staple for the Montreal Greek community for good food & a place to come together & party into the night - about half way up Parc avenue in the center of Mile end. On this hot summer evening we were able to get a table right on the sidewalk just off the terrasse which was awarded to us by the godfather like caracter sitting solo at a table almost on Parc ave. Regulars seemed to know & respect the man, wait staff got their direction from him. Presented with pages of a multitude of greek wine options we settled for a litre of the house wine - which turned out to be italian - but good none-the-less. As a group we shared a couple of aps. We started with the saganaki was surprisingly mediocre. To me, the best varieties of this fried greek cheese has a gooey warm interior that pulls a little bit like pizza mozerella - with a nice crust on the outside. This Saganaki was lukewarm & slightly spongy - not horrible but not near the best i've had. Next we shared the Kolokythakia Tiganita which are batter covered, deep fried chip like slices of zucchini & eggplant served with a side of tatziki which was enjoyed all around. We couldnt seem to eat the chips any faster & the tatziki was among the best i've ever tried - thick as it should be, with a good bite & a surpring addition of dill -which did it wonders. As mains we tried grilled octopus, mousaka, grilled chicken & grilled salmon - all of which were thoroughly enjoyed. Many plates were accompanied by roasted greek potatos - not roasted in a conventional way i'm used to but with a odd red saucy coating- not crispy - which were OK but not great. Several meals also came with 'horta' which we were told was from the dandelion family - presented as a lukewarm green, almost sludge-like accompanyment. Traditional maybe but i left most of it on my plate - others agreed. Ordered an extra plate of the awesome tatziki which everyone heaped all over their mains. Overall good food & solid service by large team that was constantly moving -water glasses were constantly being filled & we were provided with a large basket of slightly old break to use as a vehicle for the remainder of the taziki. Recommended.
