Restaurant Mythos Ouzeri Estiatorio is a Greek hotspot on Parc Avenue in Mile-end, Montreal. A riotous bouzouki band is performing from Thursday to Sunday, encouraging diners to get up and dance on the dance floor (dancing on the tables is also common at Mythos).
Specialties include, fried bread with a pepper and feta cheese dip, mincemeat patties with mint combine with traditional lamb, seafood appetizers and main courses, fresh fish and more. Mythos Restaurant boats one of the finest Greek menus in Montreal. In the summer, the patio is a great spot also.

My real rating is between 3 & 4
We ordered the trio dips which were good.
They don't have pita & instead serve very bad bread.
We did not finish the dips for that reason.
My medium lamb chops were over cooked & no pick.
They were still tender & had good flavor.
The lemon potatoes had too much lemon but were well cooked.
The service was very good & the waiter added to our fun.
The restaurant is very nice inside but over air conditioned.View more

What an incredible experience dining at Mythos 💙. The tasting menu is fantastic & the food was grilled to perfection 🍽?. The food was above & beyond. Service was great. My only complaint was that the restaurant was very cold. The door opens & the draft was uncomfortable. I wore my coat on my lap throughout the meal.

Awesome place with great food & live music. The band was kind enough to play a request, Egnatias, & performed it wonderfully. Valet service is available & very helpful as parking can me a mission in this area.View more

The food was genuinely excellent, fresh, well-prepared, & served in generous portions.
The ambiance started off fine but took a nosedive when the live band arrived. The music sounded like budget karaoke & put half the room to sleep.
The host/server was awkward, impatient, & far from welcoming. Despite ordering a large amount of food, after about an hour he started hovering around the table, clearly trying to push us out. With 85% of the restaurant empty, the rush made no sense & left our group feeling uncomfortable.
Prices are very high. Be aware.

I went out hoping to enjoy some good music & food, but unfortunately, both were a letdown. The singer sounded more like karaoke than a live performance, which really took away from the atmosphere. We ordered three appetizers & three drinks (2 beers & 1 arak/ouzo), & the total came to $156, tip included. The tip options started at 18%. At least the service was good, which was the one bright spot of the evening.View more

This was a few years ago pre covid (Yes I'm late). I've been here about 10 times & have always enjoyed the food & atmosphere. However, our last visit, for my brother's surprise 40th birthday, was disappointing. We opted for the preset menu at $58 per person. I made the reservation six weeks in advance & informed the staff that we'd be a group of 22 to 25 people. The person taking the reservation assured me this wouldn't be a problem & that they could handle it. When we arrived, it was clear they had overbooked that night. The tables were so tightly packed that we couldn't pull our chairs back properly to sit down without bumping into the people behind us, & vice versa. It was incredibly uncomfortable. On top of that, our waiter, who was about 6'4" & at least 400 lbs, couldn't navigate between the tables without knocking into us. The food was good, as usual, but the best (or worst) part came when it was time to pay. Most of us paid with debit, & the waiter handed us the machine with the tip already preset to 18%. While 18% is what I was planning to leave anyway, it's the principle of the matter. As a guest, I should have the freedom to choose whether to tip 15%, 18%, 20%, or another amount. After the meal, they put on a show with a live band that gets on a small stage to play Greek music, transforming the place into a nightclub. There's also a bar just outside the reception area. A few of us stepped outside for a breather, & when we came back, they had removed all the tables & chairs. To make matters worse, our jackets & other belongings had been tossed onto random tables & chairs, leaving us searching for them for quite a while.View more

Live music in the evening, the server was so very kind & thoughtful - the whole place has an elevated family/local feel to it - made me feel like I was back in Greece, with the live music & the Greek dancing by dinner-goers in the evening. We opted for the group menu for $68/ person which came with several appetizers & main course, all share plates. Problem is when main course is 1 lamb chop, 1 small boneless chicken thigh per person when only chicken is written in the menu & sausage shredded on a cheese graters we felt underwhelmed. Not worth it, avoid the group menu.View more
