MVP Restaurant & Bar Sportif is widely described as a lively sports venue with plenty of screens and a welcoming, attentive staff. Reviewers praise the friendly service that helps create a strong first impression and makes groups feel at home. The atmosphere is often described as fun and busy, a great setting for watching a range of sports, from football and hockey to UFC, with good music and a buzzy energy. The menu is seen as solid bar food and pub fare, with favorites like burgers, spaghetti gratin, onion soup, ribs, fajitas, pulled pork poutine, and generous portions at fair prices. Prices and value are generally praised, though some notes mention occasional variation in dish quality and one comment about an entry fee feeling excessive. While some refer to the location as looking a little rough or the place closing early, most reviews highlight consistent fast service, a good beer selection on tap, and staff who go above and beyond. All in all MVP Restaurant & Bar Sportif comes across as a dependable spot to catch a game with friends, where the energy, sports coverage and attentive service are frequently commended.
The staff was friendly & accommodating, our server, Amelia was fantastic! Great spot to stop & watch a game with some friends. Would definitely recommend & would visit again.
Headline: Absolute Management Train Wreck - Don't Waste Your Time
?'If I could give zero stars for management, I would. My partner & I came here to watch the Super Bowl, only to be left freezing at the door in a crowd of people. The staff has zero operational skills. Instead of being professional & admitting they were fully booked, they kept stringing us along with'just 5 more minutes' for nearly an hour.
?If you run a bar, you should know your floor plan & your reservation list-especially on the biggest game day of the year. Being dishonest with customers just to keep them standing in the cold is pathetic. Save your breath & your money; go somewhere that actually values their patrons & knows how to run a business.'

Aust playing Canada in the football so found somewhere close to watch it after checking day before. Manager Habib said'if it's on tv in Canada it'll be on here'! Arrived & he found us a table & switched both nearby tvs to the game. Then he switched most other tvs to the game & turned sound up in the bar - atmosphere!! Had the Ribs & Fajita & NY cheesecake all great. Our waitress Eva was outstanding & Aust won so a great night all round!
The food is great, they always have games that I want to watch & the servers are very friendly, Simone was our server for the night & went above & beyond to make sure we felt accommodated there. Would highly recommend it again, Greek salad is amazing & the calamari was also very good not too rubbery or stale at all which I wasn't expecting. The chefs seem to know their menu very well
Great atmosphere & welcoming bartenders who made my experience memorable & enjoyable. New favourite place to watch the game, I will definitely be returning soon :)
Great atmosphere, they have any sport you can want & stay open when games run late & the clients are watching. Best serving staff in the city! always enthusiastic & accommodating, no other place I'd rather go to watch UFC!
New to Montreal & this place is incredible. Tina was excellent & the owner greeted us warmly. Great vibe. You want good food while you watch the game than this is the spot! Will be back.

First time at MVP & had a great time watching a hockey game. Great location, the place was buzzing & a special mention to our server Robin who was an absolute Rockstar. His speed, service, attention to detail in the midst of all the noise & demanding customers was superb. He embodies what excellent customer service is all about.
Came Saturday night to watch the hockey game. The server was friendly & accommodating. The host/greeter was overly confrontational. As soon as we walked in he was agitated. The hockey game was turned off after the 2nd period, no one in the bar was happy. Thankfully one of the managers was able to sort that out & I thank her for that. The same host who was acting as if he owned the place doubled down & was even more aggressive. Yelling at us for wanting to watch the hockey game, like everyone else inside the restaurant that night. When we asked to speak to the manager he literally hit us with the "Captain Phillips eyes" "I'm in charge now". He needs a serious refresher in customer service, it was a ridiculous display of how to treat people.
It's a nice pub, well equipped for watching sports games & really nice decor. The poutine is really good, but their pizza is awful. Tasted like a frozen pizza. I wouldn't get it again. The service was okay. Nothing spectacular, we were only checked on once. Had to call the waitress whenever I needed anything. It's also pretty expensive, but I suppose that's what one would expect for right downtown Montreal.
Very unprofessional service. The waitresses & bartender complain aloud about customers right in front of other customers. As a result, it is hard to listen to the game one is watching. Most unpleasant experience. Very unprofessional.
We went to watch a Premier League game on a Monday. They were setting up decorations for St-Patrick's, but our server, Laurine, was so welcoming & gave us a sweet setup. Service was excellent & management was chill. We had wings, garlic bread, & the chicken quesadilla. Everything was really tasty & the portions were generous so that we took home leftovers. Overall, a really laidback, fun spot. ☺️
Had a great time watching a Premier League game here. The beer selection was top-notch, & the burger was good. The pasta could use a bit of improvement for flavour. Amazing customer service, Impressed by the prompt service; the waitresses quickly fixed a frozen TV.
