MVP Restaurant & Bar Sportif is widely described as a lively sports venue with plenty of screens and a welcoming, attentive staff. Reviewers praise the friendly service that helps create a strong first impression and makes groups feel at home. The atmosphere is often described as fun and busy, a great setting for watching a range of sports, from football and hockey to UFC, with good music and a buzzy energy. The menu is seen as solid bar food and pub fare, with favorites like burgers, spaghetti gratin, onion soup, ribs, fajitas, pulled pork poutine, and generous portions at fair prices. Prices and value are generally praised, though some notes mention occasional variation in dish quality and one comment about an entry fee feeling excessive. While some refer to the location as looking a little rough or the place closing early, most reviews highlight consistent fast service, a good beer selection on tap, and staff who go above and beyond. All in all MVP Restaurant & Bar Sportif comes across as a dependable spot to catch a game with friends, where the energy, sports coverage and attentive service are frequently commended.

Cool sports bar with extensive menu befitting a sports bar (wings, nachos, poutine, etc etc) but also pizza, calamari, smoked meat etc. Had the greek salad, basically was a garden salad with feta cheese & black olives so not really a greek salad, that said was very good. Food kinda pricey IMO. Great beer & cocktail selection. Very spacious venue with very friendly staff.
This was my first time visiting Montreal, & this sports bar was the first restaurant (bar) I visited after arriving in Montreal. The service here is friendly, & the bar space is ample & comfortable. The sports jerseys decorating the walls are a nice touch.I particularly enjoyed the pulled pork poutine at this bar. The gravy & pulled pork complement each other perfectly, combined with cheese curds & the fries, it creates a rich & satisfying flavor profile. The pitchers of beer are reasonably priced. Also worth mentioning, their chicken tenders are delicious too! I'll definitely be returning next time I visit Montreal.
This was the perfect spot to have quick & easy meal. Our waitress was super friendly & gave us recommendations for clubs. Nachos were generous & delicious. Beer was also reasonably priced. Atmosphere was great, I just would have preferred the music a little lower so I could have conversations easier.

Had a great time watching a Premier League game here. The beer selection was top-notch, & the burger was good. The pasta could use a bit of improvement for flavour. Amazing customer service, Impressed by the prompt service; the waitresses quickly fixed a frozen TV.
I have been remiss. I spent Nov 18th & 19th pretty much living here. I was so enamored with my experience I promised the girls I'd post a nice review. It's Dec 23rd now & I never got around to it. Apologise girls, that's my ADHD taking hold & avoiding stuff. But I never forgot. I went up to Montreal to see the Tool conxert. I went pretty early as 530 am was the only direct flight. Anyways I walked the city until about noon & was done. I had read good reviews about their food & beer, plus it was directly across from my Air bnb. My buddy wouldn't be in until 7pm & I couldn't check into my Aorbnb until 4. So I settled in. What can I say, especially after all that preamble. I had the best time. For pretty much 2 days this was my home. The Airbnb sucked. Plus it was above a nightclub...I heard the beat drop a lot. Seficit to say, MVP was a far superior place to hang out. Food is top notch. I'm from Dartmouth NS, represent, & maybe the food price seemed high to me, but I quickly learned it's on par for the area. So no complaints & really they kept me alive for 2 days. Now to the ladies. Tina & Erika, what can I say. They have been friends for 28 years...& it shows. It was like watching a dance, they worked so inherently in sync they didn't need to speak, amazing to watch , & a credit to them both. Having long friendships mean something. & these two have it. I'm fortunate to still be close with my elementary school friends, so I get it. I was made to feel at home during my time there. They looked after me. I was in a safe place in a quasi sketchy part of town. So much fun I had here. Also I learned in Montréal you are either a Labatts or Molsen place. They're Labatts & you best be drinkin the Labat 50. Man I drank gallons of that. So dear reader should you have reached the end of my long & very enthusiastic endorsement of this establishment, let me thank you for considering my.....endorsement a mitigating factor in your decision to visit this fine....establishment. Merry Christmas everyone at MVP, including the regulars who also welcomed us & were awesome to hang with.... Also it should be noted I think I'm posting this on Google, so if it says Aubrey's Adventures & there's a picture of a little girl, that's my daughter & she wants to be a YouTube star, & I humour her. As well I don't have it in me to have two Google accounst. Am I right?

Perfect for an NFL Sunday afternoon. There were four games, they had four front screens, & they tuned the four games. They won me with that. The service was good & quick, the MVP blonde beer, onion soup & poutine was excellent. Totally recommend.
Nice place to have some beers... when is packed, you can expect some delays, but where not. Washroom is closed so you may need to ask the bartender to open it for you.
I love this place. The service is always top-notch, & the atmosphere is friendly & familiar. This restaurant is my go to whenever I am downtown, & the location is ideal for shows given its proximity to venues such as Place Des Arts, Place des Festivals (Jazzfest, etc), M Telus, & l'Astral. I love that they have my favourite beers on tap; the food portions are generous (great value), & the quality of the food (taste, temperature served, presentation) is amazing.
I ordered a vegetarian pizza & it was horrible. Crust so thin & undercooked it just fell apart, no sauce & hardly any cheese & just a few wilted vegetables. Waitress didn't seem to care & still charged me full price with no apology. Otherwise the place was fine, decent beer selection & lots of tvs for sports but probably wouldn't return for the food or service.
Ambiance is OK, but enough TV to compete against the Cage or the Station des sports. The beer is cheap so that's a pro & the food is good for that kind of place. I recommend it for a hockey game.
Great atmosphere & able to enjoy any sporting event. Bar itself is their best attribute. Love stopping in for a beer. Service is pretty decent, cool staff!
