From the minute I walked in I was sold! Front of the restaurant is a Bistro Bar. The back fine dining & beautiful feel throughout! I will return.....maybe even tomorrow!
On May 17, the manager on duty disrespected me & yelled at me in front of other guests because I asked to change my table.
I mistakenly booked the bar instead of a table, so I asked the hostess if we could move to a table. The hostess was helpful & offered me a table with a time limitation. I took a few minutes to confirm because I wanted to discuss it with my fiancée & didn't want to rush our dinner.
When we made the decision to move with the time limitation, I went to confirm the change with the hostess, but because she was on the phone, the manager jumped in. Since he had no context of the situation, he lost his composure & became aggressive & confrontational
He did move us to a table, but not without mocking & belittling me in the process. For obvious reasons, we had to leave the restaurant.
Meilleur restaurant Gastronomique à Montreal avec celui de Jerome Ferrer. Meilleur que Toque.
Les plats sont parfaitement exécutés. Le service au comptoir est excellent, super interactions avec les barmans / serveur. On peut avoir des explications sur les alcools ou simplement parler cuisine. Pour un passionné de gastronomie, c'est un régal !
Seul point négatif, comptoir ou salle à manger gastronomique : un peu bruyant.

Atmosphere: 10/10 | Overall feel of the restaurant feels as you'd expect it to be.
Service: 10/10 | Paced properly when ordering entrées, mains & dessert. Extremely pleasant staff, if you have a problem just ask.
Food: 10/10 | No issues here, had the bone marrow with burgundy snails as an entrée, Lamb sirloin (Recommended by Barman) as main & the Pavlova as dessert. Dish sizes are surprisingly decent (entrée + main) & I was too full for dessert.
An absolute amazing experience. My husband & I sat at the bar, enjoyed a couple starters & some cocktails. The white asparagus starter really stole the show. So delicious. The bone marrow & escargots, was exquisite & very rich (in a good way)
The octopus was cooked to perfection & paired so well with the ginger carrot puree.
The Pistache cocktail was the number one best cocktail I've ever had in my life (12 years of working in restaurants )
Beautifully balanced., such a complex cocktail created with pure harmony. I will dream of this cocktail.
We then continued our culinary journey with the pan seared tuna & braised lamb. We left our plates clean. Everything was delicious.
We ended our night with the pavlova & crème brûlée dessert. My husband, not really a fan of desserts in general, practically licked his plate clean.
The highlight of our night, was Serge the Barman. What an amazing, kind & gentle man. Truly gives the definition of'gentleman'
Extremely attentive & knowledgeable about his menu & wines.
We will certainly come back for the food, & definitely stay for Serge.
Without doubt the rudest, most high on their own supply Maitre'd ever encountered, who is a detriment to an otherwise adequate showing worthy of a cold night with little on the calendar. Food good if not inspired, winelist a gem or two. Bar staff knowledgeable & friendly.

Depending upon your palate & food tastes, you can book accordingly... The last time I was there my wife & I sat at the bar... It was sooo fun! Same food & wine - but the bartender repartee was amazing!!
Modern take ok French Canadian classics. Great balance of seafood & meat offerings. Huge selection of wine & spirits. Large bar seetings area that is great for a date night.
