I love this place, but since they moved from the smaller location next-door, it hasn't been the same. The food specials on Tuesdays are no longer available. The service is quite slow as there's only one waiter on the floor. The food is still tasty, but I noticed a couple of the items on the menu have changed I guess for cheaper cost.. One thing that I really got bothered by was that the barmaid makes your drink & instead of using a mixing spoon, she takes the paper off of your straw, puts it in your glass & then holds the tip with her Fingers that she's been touching everything with to stir.. That's not hygienic at all & it's not the proper way to stir a drink. There's no bar mats & they have all of their glasses on yellow paper towel type things. The music is very low & the atmosphere is just not the same as before.. There's a few things that need to be worked on. I'm a chef & also a mixologist so I've worked in the industry for a long time & always love to give constructive criticism

Once you have had authentic Mexican food in Mexico it's difficult to compare.
But let's try. The restaurant is very cute. We were immediately greeted at the door & seated because we had a reservation. Even though reservations are recommended there were some empty tables for walk-ins.
We were given 3 menus, one with beverages, one for specials & one for tacos & appetizers.
Once we ordered, the wait was not too long.
I ordered the Ranchero steak tacos. Two corn tacos with Oaxaca cheese, panela cheese, grilled steak, pico de gallo (chopped tomatoes, onions & cilantro), cactus. The steak was delicious & there was quite a bit. But the rest of the ingredients were practically non existent. Because of the quantity of beef, it was quite filling. I also asked for spicy salsa but they didn't have any.
My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich which was grilled pork, ham, Latin cheeses, chorizo, pickles, avocado, mayonnaise & smoked mustard & a Tortilla soup. I tasted his sandwich & it was very tasty. The only issue was that the bread was soggy. The soup was not hot & had little taste. Again we asked for spicy salsa which was not available.
The service was ok but when the bartender & or owner cane over it was great.
Would we go back? Probably not. The location is a bit far from our house & the food was not as good as the other reviews.

Listen to my videos you'll hear how genuinely happy I was So I randomly came in to this restaurant after being disappointed by 3 of their fellow neighbours I saw the flags & I said yes this is what im looking for As the gentille serveuse gives me & explains to me the menus I see something I don't usually see in other Mexican inspired restaurants TORTAS I got so excited because no place in Montreal I have been too had tortas on their menus for some reason I had the fried chicken torta I'm not sure if I was supposed to have frijoles or not I thought I was supposed & I think they may have forgotten it but if I wasn't supposed then I'm sorry listen it still deserve a 5 star it was DE-LI-CIOUS I'm totally coming back I came yesterday noon ish w 2 girls it wasn't crowded at all so I got my food under 10 mins like the serveuse said Walked out of that restaurant not expecting much of it most latino restaurants in Montreal are pretty basic but after my first bite in the car I couldn't help myself I smudged my red lipstick all over my fingers & my face 😂😂 I've read the other reviews if the restaurant reads this keep up the good work & keep getting better don't stop what you're doing perfect it I'm definitely coming back Oh & it came w 2 sauces very tasty I enjoyed the little salad touch it made me feel less guilty of CHEATING ON MY DIET😅🩷 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best tacos in Montreal!! These are *foodie* tacos, the flavour combinations are unique & unbelievably tasty. They recently moved from a tiny little location to a much larger space. Service is always friendly & efficient, ambience is a mix of Cuban & Mexican vibes.. we love it :)
