I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately the experience fell short.
The most surprising part of the evening was the wine pricing. I was charged $23 for a single 9 oz glass of wine, while the exact same bottle retails at the SAQ for $22.80. I understand restaurant markups are standard, but charging more for one glass than the cost of the entire bottle feels difficult to justify.
I also ordered the California salad, only to realize several bites in that it was missing the goat cheese listed on the menu. When I mentioned it, the solution was simply a plate of large chunks of goat cheese that I had to crumble over the salad myself, rather than the dish being properly corrected.
The atmosphere was lovely, but for the prices being charged, I expected far more attention to detail & a higher standard of service.
Smash Burger - one of the best burgers I've ever had.
Wife had fish tacos - said they were excellent.
Side California Spring salad was also excellent.
Service by Emmi & all staff really great.
Will definitely be back.
I passed by during last weekend (June 7, 2026) with my family to try the new seasonal menu. Being Greek, a menu offering of lamb chops always attracts my attention & I knew pretty fast what I was ordering. My son & I, each had an appetizer California salad & it was incredible even though I don't like mixing fruits in my salad but I am a goat cheese lover. It was an incredible salad & I envisioned passing by on a summer evening & having it as a main meal. My wife & mother in law ordered the mushroom soup which is always a classic. My lamb chops were ordered with fries & veggies & they were incredible. My wife kept the original mashed potatoes in her dish & loved them. My son had a rib steak which was very tasty & very reasonable in price. You cannot find a 16 ounce steak in Montreal any more under $60. My mother in law ordered the meal sized California salad. I always have room for dessert & the carrot cake brought me back to my childhood. No wonder the menu calls it OMG Carrot Cake. & a gluten free option for my wife that was not a chocolate brownie? Happy wife, happy life. The gluten free apple cobbler was incredible, regardless of its GF label. Overall a great evening made even greater by the helpfulness, friendliness & bubbliness of our waitress Gloria.
Had an amazing time! We got served by Clara, who honestly, was just a ray of sunshine! Very friendly & professional!
The food was great! Highly recommend the steak sandwich & cali spring salad!
Update:
1 year later 2026! The amazing Daphnee helped make my birthday such a lovely day! Big thanks to her & everyone at milestones for always being so wonderful!!
Had lunch at Milestones at Fairview Pointe-Claire & wow… everything exceeded expectations.
We shared the california salad, salmon tartare, fish tacos, & the curry bowl, & every single dish was incredible. Fresh, flavorful, & honestly hard to pick a favorite. The drinks were just as good & we finished with coffee & dessert, both absolutely perfect.🤤🤤🤤
But what really made the experience stand out was our server Costa. Hands down one of the best we've ever had. So kind, knowledgeable & genuinely friendly. He made our whole lunch that much better.
A special mention as well to the manager, Maria, who was so sweet & pleasant. You can really feel the great energy from the staff, it made the whole atmosphere welcoming & enjoyable.
You must try the Bam Bam Shrimp appetizer, geez I could eat just them & die a happy man. The California salad appetizer is delicious too with the spicy pecans, Chèvre & Strawberries. So good. The mains are great, we've had the Ribs, steak & salmon tartare
The menu reads so well, what a disappointment when the food came. You can't serve an appetizer at that cost, the ahi tuna sushi, with plain rice. Sushi rice! That's the only way .. The Cobb salad, boiled shrimp, & the vinegret, was their one. Here, quality olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt pepper, roast some garlic, lemon juice, honey ... The green curry shrimp, here's a tip; use your seafood shells, scraps, make a stock, use that broth in the green curry.... & most important, lemon grass, ginger, coriander.. your kitchen manager & chef are failing you. You clearly are saving from the margin on ingredients you describe in your menu that are wasted in that horrible product... The keg, 40 West, yes five star, but the reasons & result & continued existence is in the product .. The service, the food!... You are in a prime location, a beautiful restaurant... These two factors are a reason why you should succeed, but you fail with food that is clearly saving on ingredient quality, but more important, your chef had no idea what is spice, flavor... Does he/she even taste anything?... I have managed restaurants, franchises, food retail ... You will close within the next two years. & while you try to save that restaurant, you will only dive deeper into poor ingredient choices, & lack of attention of what guess to the customer, your expeditor is not qualified either ... Saving grace the blond tattooed bartender/server who wasn't into service at first, but she did surely become involved & was great doing forward was the only reason I will give your menu, restaurant, ones more try.. The blackened cod & pork chop will get a taste .. Otherwise, save yourself as million dollars that you'll probably pour into that restaurant over the next two years, unless your prepared to actually learn from restaurants I've mentioned to succeed ... Service, bland food... You didn't need much to elevate that shrimp curry.... You have everything in your kitchen, adding the lemon grass, to make that a great dish... I'll show you if you want...
