Afficher toutrecommend(41) drink(40) chicken(32) steak(27) tartare(26) clara(26) lunch(24) bar(24) highly recommend(20) salmon(19) rib(19) birthday(19)I recently had the pleasure of dining at Milestones Pointe Claire, & overall, it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant has a cozy yet modern vibe, & the staff was friendly & attentive, which made for a very comfortable dining atmosphere. For starters, I ordered the steak tartare, & I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. The meat was incredibly fresh, & the seasoning was just right-balanced, with a nice tang from the capers & a slight kick from the mustard. The texture was perfect as well, finely chopped, which made each bite melt in your mouth. The only minor issue was that the dish came with a little less bread than I would have preferred. With steak tartare, extra bread is essential for scooping up all that goodness, & I found myself wishing for a few more slices. That said, it didn't detract too much from the overall enjoyment of the dish. For the main course, I opted for a different entrée (which was equally satisfying), but the standout of the meal was definitely the starter. I also appreciated the drink selection-they had a great variety of wines & cocktails to pair with the food, & the staff was knowledgeable enough to make recommendations based on my preferences. The atmosphere at Milestones was relaxed but still upscale, making it a great place for both casual outings or special occasions. The service was quick & attentive, & the staff really made an effort to make sure everything was to my liking. In summary, Milestones Pointe Claire delivers a memorable dining experience with solid food, great service, & a nice ambiance. The steak tartare is definitely worth trying, & while the bread portion could have been a bit more generous, I'll definitely be back to enjoy it again. Highly recommend!
First time at milestone Pros: seated quickly, waitress was pleasant took our orders quickly ; we were a group of 12; ambiance was good, seats comfortable Cons: took over an hour for our food to arrive despite we were early for dinner & restaurant was not that busy Would not recommend the grilled chicken served on spinach, kale with spicy goat cheese. Meat was tough & dry, barely any vegetables looked nothing like the picture. Caesar salad was plain at best. Beet salad barely had any beets. Food prep & quality definitely sub par. For the price, do not recommend for a meal. Might be ok for 5a7. Drinks & snacks
La nourriture est bonne & intéressante. Il y a les drinks sans alcool - c'est super! Le service est professionnel. Je recommande.
I won't lie; I was presently surprised by how much I liked this restaurant. It was super clean; our waiter was extremely nice, & the food & drinks were great. Considering it's basically in a mall, you'd expect less, but have no doubt it's quite good. I'd recommend it.
Great friendly server. We went for quick appies & drinks after President's Cup, Saturday afternoon. Think the patio could use more planters to take away the view of the parking lot & more t.v's.
Had to wait forever for the check. Never got water or asked if we wanted dessert or refills on our drinks. Food was good. Not amazing for the price.
This was our first time trying this new establishment. We reserved for 6:30, party of 4. Seated on time, beautiful decor & atmosphere. Service was overall quite good. The waitress we had was friendly & honest regarding the menu. Service was quick enough but could have been faster overall. We did miss water at one point but not a big deal. The food was the biggest letdown like many of the reviews previously. By that I mean price vs quality mostly. Seems like the biggest struggle is the proper use of seasoning. Some plates were too salty, others were too peppery, while others lacked seasoning. As for appetizers, we had the spinach dip which was great but quite peppery. The Korean cauliflower bites were way too salty. On the other hand, the onion soup was EXCELLENT, one of my all time favourite! The main courses is where we felt let down. I chose the filet mignon. For 47$ I was expected a lot more. The temperature was alright, but closer to medium than medium rare. A bit dry, & lacking of seasoning or uniqueness... with a side of bland vegetables & a sauce that was too salty, it lacked inspiration. Definitely not worth the price. The other plates we had we again way too peppery. Drinks were okay, but nothing more. Overall, while offering a nice atmosphere for a dine in experience, Milestones biggest issue is the quality of food versus the price of admission. 3/5 Overall, would not return. Better alternatives around.
This place is going to close by next summer. Food is not edible other than fries. Wine is ok. Service is average. Honestly drinks only. Place is pretty but that is where it stops.
Way overpriced for the quality of food/drinks you get. It's by a mall so that might be the reason. This is a Montana's quality food at best, which is not saying much. Won't go again. Service was good though.
We reserved for my birthday, & we got there & the place was pretty empty, it took 25 minutes to get our drinks! We order entrees, wine & meals & the service was slow. The manager that day should find another job, as he tried to explain to us that the burger had blue cheese, we did not tasted or smelled it, but he kept on giving us his crappy excuses. We asked for a second bottle of wine, which never came. Very disappointed as we are there celebrating a birthday.
Nice atmosphere, our waiter was very good, he was witty & on the ball. The drinks were well made. The food was alright, the steak was disappointing, & the fries were cold. The sirloin was cooked correctly, but the quality of beef was lacking. It was rough to chew, but the sauce was delicious. I would recommend getting something other than steak there.
Honestly such a big disappointment. Was really looking forward to eating here after it opened in West Island. We were a bigger group but it took over 1 hour to get our starters & over another hour to get the mains. The drinks were ok, nothing special barely any alcohol. Half of the things that came in were already cold. We were there over 3.5hrs, constantly waiting.
The ambiance is very nice, but our food was below par & cold. Page, our server was fantastic & made the experience pleasurable. I ordered the ribs & chicken combo. The ribs were bland & dry. There is a coleslaw they serve on the plate, & it was tasteless. Moreover, it had some herb in it that made it taste funny also. The parmesan French fries were also tasteless & cold. The server was nice enough to bring me another order of fries & they were still cold. My chicken was also dry. Not a satisfying meal. My wife ordered the rib combo & shrimp skewer, & she had the same comments regarding the ribs & coleslaw. The shrimp was OK. My daughter had the mediterranean chicken & she thought is was good, but nothing special. To make up for our supper, Page offered us a complimentary dessert or drink, which was nice. I am hoping things improve because it is a nice restaurant. I do not think we'll be going back soon & would have a hard time recommending.
Honestly not impressed. I have been twice to this restaurant & both times have been bad experiences. First time going I waited 20 minutes for my beer & an hour & a half for my meal. I thought everyone has off nights so let me give it a second shot. The second shot was worse than the first. We had the same waiter & again it took about 20 minutes for my drink but what really bothered me was the wait for our food. Our appatizer came out fairly quickly which was nice but our waiter was nowhere to be found. Someone else brought our appatizer & we started eating it, by the time we were on our last bites our waiter reappeared to bring us plates for our app. Thanks but were finished now theres no need for these. Here is where it get really bad, they clear our app & my girlfriend checked the time it is 7:15 she reminds me we have plans & need to leave at 8:30 the latest. I ensured her we were fine & had plenty of time. As time kept passing we were getting worried & looking all over for our waiter but again he was nowhere to be found. It is now 8:05 & we finally see our waiter he comes over to tell us our food should be out any minute. 10 minutes later our food finally arrived. Our reservation was at 6:30 & we didn't get our food until 8:15. I am not impressed after 2 visits. Long time to get your food & if you have the same waiter I've had good luck finding him.
Food was ok at best. Ribs were dry but ok. The bottle of wine & drinks were great. We really felt rushed by the waiter. With the amount of tip we left(18%- almost 30$) no reason to be ignored & rushed. They had empty tables on a Saturday night. Was nice to try but won't repeat.
New place that still requires to work out the kinks with their reservations & timing. Waited 45 minutes to be seated for a reservation that we'd made a month earlier. They made up for it by offering us drinks at the bar but forgot us until we reminded them we were still waiting to be seated at a table. The table we ended up with was right before the kitchen entrance which did not impress at all. Service & food was good once we were seated.
Friendly service, welcoming & helpful. Food was good, fair price for quality. More creative menu than other similar/comparable restaurants, but nothing surprising. Nice bar, good drinks.
Service & atmosphere is great at this place. Food & drinks are OK. They offer one of the best menus for kids though which is one reason we go back.
Beautiful decor, nice restaurant to go for a drink but utterly disappointed with the food. Very limited menu for lunch...food was really disappointing & that's being nice.
We had a great time having dinner & drinks. Kudos to the barman, he goes the extra mile to serve his clients. Well done!
