I had the pleasure of discovering Mercat 1484 in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville in May, & I must say that this restaurant is a true gem. I opted for the tasting menu, & each dish was a delight for the senses. The scallop ceviche with leche de tigre & sweet potato, the tuna with escabeche sauce, & the Galician-style octopus were all perfectly executed. The wine selection is equally impressive, featuring personal imports that perfectly complement each dish. The restaurant's ambiance is elegant & welcoming, making it ideal for any occasion, whether it's a dinner with friends or a romantic evening. The service is attentive & professional, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend Mercat 1484 to those looking for a fusion of Spanish & Peruvian cuisine with a unique twist. Très très bien. Ambiance agréable , le chef péruvien d'origine , est venu nous voir , on a pu échanger en espagnol sur le service offert. Nous nous trouvons choyer d'avoir ce restaurant chez nous à St Bruno. Nous allons y retourner. Bon succès

Wow ce soir nous venons de vivre une expérience hors du commun. L'accueil, le service & les plats étaient exceptionnels. Probablement le meilleur resto de la Montérégie en ce moment. Nouvellement ouvert depuis 3 mois un endroit avec un décor moderne & chic. Tout le personnel étaient courtois. Le chef Mario Navarette jr, chef de grand talent qui est venu à notre table à quelques reprises pour s'enquérir de notre satisfaction, José le sommelier, Nève notre serveuse, Jeremy ( Jeremias) le bar tender nous ont offert un service irréprochable. Tous les plats étaient digne de mention. Je recommande fortement le menu dégustation qui pris à la carte coûte environ $120, offert à seulement $69. Le thon, le céviche de pétoncles, le papa a la huancaina, la pieuvre, le magret de canard & le dessert étaient exécutés d'une main de maître. Une carte des vins soigneusement préparé donnant la priorité aux vins espagnols. Est-ce qu'on recommande ? Définitivement. Un rapport qualité prix comme on en voit rarement. Best kept secret on the south shore. Longue vie au Mercat 1484.
Amazing. We had the 5-course meal, which was simply a parade of tastes that were beyond description. The waiter would describe what's coming next with enthusiasm & he never disappointed us. This place must be tried if you love top end dining. I have eaten at Toké in downtown Montreal before it closed. It was excellent, but Mercat1484 was in my opinion, a notch above Toké. Mario the chef even came out & had a chat with us... what a nice guy. Put this restaurant on your bucket list. Guys, if you want to impress your girl, if she's not a fan of chain restaurants, this is where you should take her.
I have been a fan of this chef since he first opened Raza on Laurier. My husband proposed ro me at his restaurant Madré .. I always loved his food & ambiance . Needless to say that I was very excited when I found out he was opening a place so close to home . Although the plating is beautiful, I found the food a little bland . Lacking salt, acidity & spice . The sweet potatoes make everything quite sweet. If there is no spice or acidity to balance it out, that's all you end up tasting . I wanted to take the tasting menu with an Ont seafood option since I don't eat meat & i was told there were too many guests to accommodate my request that evening . All in all, the food needs a little tweaking bur still well executed.

This new restaurant that opened recently in Saint Bruno really gave us the utter luxury experience. From the reception, all the way to the dining, this place warrants a Michelin star. Food: Entree. Main course. Dessert. Every single dish was meticulously constructed for both eye & stomach. There was not one plate we could not resist. I had the Foie Gras Empanada & the Magret de Canard. Everything was cooked perfectly & prepared artistically. The fusion of Peruvian & Spanish dining were illustrated well in the menu & were executed with outstanding precision. A hat to the head chef. Sommelier: The Sommelier tonight was José, who was knowledgeable, attentive, & understood the delicate dance of pairing food with wine. Service: The service was exceptional. The waitress was always attentive, compassionate, & delivered utmost professionalism. The water was always refilled. The menu was detailed & explained in a rehearsed but refined manner. The food was always served hot & in sequence. & the aperitif cocktails were great, recommended by the waitress. Ambience: The ambience was very warm, exciting, & decorated with the Peruvian & Spanish twist you sought out for. We are returning Thursday. & as residents in this beautiful town, will continue to return. We hope but great endeavors for this new restaurant. Shout out to the staff who were welcoming & a Salut to the owner for the concept & execution.
Fantastique expérience gustative au Mercat hier soir! Nous avons dégusté l'empanada au foie gras, le ceviche de pétoncle & la pieuvre Gallego. Tout simplement: chaque mets était sublime & savoureux. Le plat de pieuvre nous a conquis & il faut vraiment l'essayer s'il est au menu. Bravo au chef, & surtout longue vie au Mercat 1484! C'est vraiment super d'avoir un restaurant de cette qualité à Saint-Bruno!
