Stumbled across this place by chance after a river cruise. Thought we'd give it a try & glad we did. Our server, Valter was amazing. His knowledge about the fare they serve was very good. 3 of us, & we all decided on the sirloin steak which came highly recommended after being asked what we were looking for. Had a fantastic meal at Mechant Boeuf last night during a huge rainstorm. We had a lovely seat by the window & it was warm & cozy. Our server, Valter, was kind & attentive & made several great suggestions as to menu items, including having some delicious pork dumplings to start, along with onion soup. For our mains, we had the salmon & seafood tagliatelle. Both were delicious. The Brookie dessert was a teensy bit dry but the copious amount of ice cream on top more than made up for it! This restaurant is delicious, well-organized & lively. The finest steak, delicious seafood, pasta, varied appetizers & the place has great music! Open windows make it feel like a terrasse but the temp is cool inside. I can't say enough about the wine list. Chenelle gave us some great food recommendations & was very knowledgeable about wine, champagne & prosecco. An excellent manager watches over all the small details.
