We have traveled all over the world to many Michelin star restaurants & I must say as a Greek, this is the best Greek food I have ever had. It is a crime this restaurant does not have a Michelin Star. The food was incredible the octopus & the lamb melted away & the dips were even incredible. The service & owner were incredibly friendly, helpful & attentive. Even their music selection was amazing. The atmosphere, service, & food were on another level. 5 stars doesn't do it justice. Highly recommend if you want an unforgettable meal.View more

Wow!!! I really loved everything about Mati! My friend & I recently celebrated our 50th birthday here , & the food, drinks & hospitality were impeccable! The braised lamb neck was so tender & wonderfully flavoured, & the grilled octopus was so delicious that we ate it all before I even thought to take a photo, but it was so good I really wanted to order another. I would have if I wasn't so full! Also, shout out to the green beans, roasted potatoes & tzatziki. They were all delicious as well.
The Prometheus cocktail was an absolute showstopper with the flaming garnish, & the entire cocktail menu was really thoughtful & interesting.
Thank you for a wonderfully memorable evening. We will definitely be returning to Mati & recommending it to all our friends!View more

This is probably one of the best Greek cuisines I've had in a long time. The service was impeccable, the food tasted out of this world, & the ambiance was very inviting. We had an amazing at Máti. We had the Greek salad, pastitsio, octopus, calamari & more. Everything was flavourful & authentic-each dish was a real taste of Greece! Great addition to the old port restaurant scene! Amazing service & interior. Absolutely loved the food, so fresh & tasty. - The watermelon salad is so fresh & needed on a summer night. Tatziki & oven baked potatoes are really good too. - The branzino was yummy & well seasoned. - The lamb neck melts in your mouth, must have if you like lamb. - Finally we adored the grilled octopus, the best one i tried in a long time. It was cooked perfectly & juicy. 10/10. I highly recommend the place.View more

The place is newly open. I find it worth trying. We ordered the fish as a main dish, octopus & watermelon with feta cheese as an appetiser. My favourite was the watermelon with feta & pistachio the blend of flavours was perfect.View more
