La sauce tzaziki accompagné de pain pita chaud : délicieux! Les vins recommandés étaient parfaits. J'ai tout aimé…à l'exception de la vue sur le chantier de la rue St-Paul. Je reviendrai assurément! Wonderful last meal in Montreal- service was great, food was amazing! Would definitely return & highly recommend! We shared the Greek salad & the pork chop- w/veg of the day which was asparagus- all was delicious! Emylina was great! Everyone was great! Thank you!View more
Went here with some family, had amazing service, delicious food & overall very good experience. The Greek salad was phenomenal & so were the potatoes & the octopus.View more
The staff is really nice. The beet salad, the octopus & the loukaniko was really good. Definitely recommend. The calamari was very chewy tho & didn't like it, the sauce was good. Overall a good experienceView more
Meant to go to another restaurant … we ended up at Mati & we weren't disappointed! We ordered the lamb neck, Greek salad, potatoes, & tzatziki, & every dish was delicious. The lamb neck was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had- perfectly tender & melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The seasoning was spot on, & it paired beautifully with the fresh flavors of the potatoes & creamy tzatziki. Furthermore, the service was exceptional. Our waiter was not only professional but also warm & attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect meal. Overall, Mati offers an authentic Greek dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for traditional flavors served with hospitality. I can't wait to return!View more
This is probably one of the best Greek cuisines I've had in a long time. The service was impeccable, the food tasted out of this world, & the ambiance was very inviting. Highly recommend this place when you visit old Montreal. We ordered the grilled octopus, the beet salad, & the Brezina fish. Oh my God, nothing was dry & everything tasted superb.View more
The restaurant was very disappointing. If you know Greek cuisine & Greek hospitality, you will unfortunately not find any of that in this restaurant. Firstly, you are greeted by extremely loud music, so that after 15 minutes you feel stressed & overstimulated, you cannot have a normal conversation, you basically have to shout loudly. There is also a strange guy (waiter/menager) who hops from table to table & tries to entertain people "artificially". Almost like a grasshopper. Apart from that, you wait a long time (1 hour) for the food & you don't get anything that can help you pass the time. The main menu was very disappointing, for the high price you get a small portion of meat. You have to order potatoes with it, & salad too. The potatoes were swimming in fat, were not salted & a little burnt. The tea there is called chai, but is served with two tea bags. The waitress forgot to offer the sugar. We were really angry that we chose this restaurant.View more
Ok let's do Greek… & we walked in. The restaurant is very welcoming, & congratulations your washrooms are super clean, that's important. We sat at the bar & enjoyed a Greek wine, the Kir-Yanni 2022, & it was lovely. The bartender was very skilled & it was nice watching him prepare cocktails. The owner came by & asked if we wanted the lights turned up somewhat as it was quite dim, but nice so we declined. We shared the eggplant with pita, a Greek salad with delicious creamy feta, the pieuvre & lamb chops. All was very satisfactory. A nice find, thank you!View more
We had an amazing at Máti. We had the Greek salad, pastitsio, octopus, calamari & more. Everything was flavourful & authentic-each dish was a real taste of Greece! The portions were perfect for sharing, & the cozy atmosphere is great for groups. The drinks were spot-on, & the service was friendly. Highly recommended!View more
Nice people; small menu, but good; nice decor. Lentil soup excellent, Greek salad okay, grilled octopus quite charred/not great, & spanakopita very ho hum.View more
The fish highly recommended 👌👌 the salad wasn't flavorfulView more
View more
What an amazing restaurant! The beens & the Greek salad are delicious. Although my fave was the beens ;)View more
Perfect location In Old Montreal, great food , service & atmosphere. We had some olives, a dip, watermelon salad & calamari that were all delicious. The watermelon salad an absolute fanoriite. We also had the pastitsio which was divine. We took half home as it was a large portion. Definitely would dine here againView more
Whole Branzino was terrific & Greek salad also excellent. Great atmosphere with couples & also a family bday party. Warm staff seem to know everyone.View more
Great food! Must try the watermelon salad & the dips!! I wouldn't recommend getting the Hen dish. The staff were very kind, the place is a bit small & crowded & very very loud. But overall a very great experienceView more
Good food, very surprised by the watermelon salad! Would go with a smaller group than 6 so I have more for my money, because every plate is sharedView more
So this place is definitely better for sharing plates. Prices are old port prices, so not great, but I guess that's rent for you. Food quality was great, I haven't seen a lot of Greek places with watermelon salad which was a pleasant surprise. Pork chops were delicious & well seasoned. Baklava Martini isn't very baklava but it still makes a great cocktail. Decor is pretty, it's definitely a nice, high ceiling space. Service was a little brusque considering how much you're paying, I would expect friendlier & more formal service, especially since I was only one of two tables. Like they didn't ask me if I had any questions about the menu, explain that it was more of a place for sharing (I had to eavesdrop in on another conversation to get that), or wish me a good day at the end. You know, the basics. Food came quickly, though once again I went at a slow time.View more
Seriously mind blown!!! Real Greek food cozy atmosphere & ambience. I highly recommend! The watermelon salad blew my mind!View more
Ate dinner with my wife & two kids (7 & 11) Fantastic service. Felix was on top of things. & the manager was also very attentive, warm, & welcoming. The fish my family shared was delicious & the watermelon salad was one of the best dishes we'd had in a long time. They gave the kids complimentary baklava ice cream! I highly recommend this place.View more
1st night in Old Montreal, after trying out a few places, a bartender said he eats at Mati a lot. Excellent Greek food, not overdone. Cornish hen was fabulous along with the Mati salad. Service top notch, friendly, not overbearing. Will return.View more
Cute, hip Greek restaurant with great music & good vibes. The Greek salad, pita & branzino were delicious! Would highly recommend!View more
Great addition to the old port restaurant scene! Amazing service & interior. Absolutely loved the food, so fresh & tasty. - The watermelon salad is so fresh & needed on a summer night. Tatziki & oven baked potatoes are really good too. - The branzino was yummy & well seasoned. - The lamb neck melts in your mouth, must have if you like lamb. - Finally we adored the grilled octopus, the best one i tried in a long time. It was cooked perfectly & juicy. 10/10. I highly recommend the place.View more
On a Sunday evening we were looking for a place that is not that crowded in the old port & that has good food. We passed by Màti & we decided to try it. We discovered that this restaurant is new & they opened like 7 weeks ago. It is a Greek restaurant. The atmosphere is so great & has a glimpse of modernity & luxurious. The washrooms are so clean. The waitresses were so welcoming & know their job well. The menu has a variety of delicious Greek food options & they have a menu full of interesting cocktails & drinks. We ordered feta cheese sprinkled with sumac & drizzled with olive oil & the cheese taste was very rich & different from any feta I had before. We also ordered watermelon salad (topped with feta cheese, honey & pistachios) which was a great option. & sth looks like lasagne but I can't recall its name (u can check the picture😬) & we had a glass of a good dry red wine. After paying the bill, they offer you cute candies that symbolize the evil eye. I recommend this place especially if u love the Greek cuisine. My experience there was nice & we enjoyed every single bite❤️View more
Excellent food & atmosphere! I was blown away by the food! From the watermelon salad, to the lamb neck, everything was spectacular! I tip my hat to the chef! The staff was super friendly & attentive, especially with our 9 month old daughter. Thank you for a wonderful evening!View more
Delicious food. Don't go if you are in a rush but otherwise amazing. The watermelon salad is out of this world & the Greek salad is just like the one I had in Mykonos.View more
I gave it a 5 cause it seems to have great potential. Finally a real greek salad in montreal. Kopanisti was very good as was their feta. Menu is very limitedView more
