No frills, packed on a Sunday night & i get why. Portions are huge, service fast & food is tasty. Its a bang for your buck. Not your typical souvlaki stick, its more brochette size, big chunks of marinated chicken, tasty rice & greek salad. Next time we will do a pikilia & some other apps. This is the absolute best restaurant in Montreal. Food, portioning, & appetizers are all amazing! I ordered steak & in my opinion, it's done best here at Marvens with the Greek style. Highly recommend for those who are traveling in Montreal.
Edit: I finally went back after 1 year of waiting. It is way better this time around. I would love to come back here as much as I can throughout my life.View more

Does this place really need a review? Probably not but I'll give one anyway. They do rib steak better than most steakhouses in this city, their calamari is unmatched & their portions are huge for fair prices. The only complaint is that they are so busy the wait time can be long & the noise level high. Definitely 5 starsView more

Best Greek grill in Montreal, since 1973 ! We've been coming for years & never disappoints.
The rib steak is truly amazing, tender & expertly grilled. It's served with sautéed mushrooms, chunky home fries, & a huge Greek salad.
Don't forget their calamari & tender lamb chops.

This is a landmark in Montreal, & truly worth a trip to Park Extension. There may be lineups, but it's worth it.

As an Asian, this was my first time ever trying Greek food,& honestly, it's some of the best food I've ever had! I always thought Greek food might be a bit dry, but this was the total opposite: everything was juicy, the meat was so tender, & it tasted amazing. The fries were perfectly crispy, & the food came out really quickly too. The staff were super friendly, & honestly, just writing this review is making me want to go back already 😭.View more

Used to come quite often & loved the food. Very disappointed. Have not been there for a while & wow did the food quality go down. The chicken was tasteless . The gyro was missing so many ingredients. Stopped by Marvin's in Parc-Ex after years away, chasing a bit of Montreal nostalgia-& it did not disappoint. The chicken pita & plates were excellent: generous, tasty, & totally satisfying. This iconic spot still delivers. If you haven't been in a while, it's definitely time to come back.View more

I usually go to Marvens for their famous calamari. The restaurant is pretty consistent with menu. Most things taste the as it did 20+ years ago! I just had one bad experience with the calamari & got served a bad batch once while treating my date to a birthday lunch (worst timing possible). Traditional Spot! I would still recommend regardless of my one bad experience.View more
