Terrible customer service. The staff were arrogant & unwelcoming. The food was nothing special, especially considering the price.
What disappointed us the most was the service. From the valet at the hotel entrance to our server, the entire experience was extremely poor. The valet/door attendant was especially disrespectful & made us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. We felt judged & stereotyped, which completely ruined our evening.
Our second visit was by far the worst. We gave this place another chance, but the experience was even more disappointing than the first. I would not recommend this place.

We booked the Chef's Counter experience & we were very impressed. From the attentive service from Luke & all the wait staff was perfect.
Every course was incredible with a beautiful presentation, detailed explanations, & friendly conversations with Chef Daniel. His team was organized, always smiling, & meticulous with every dish.
We highly recommend on a weeknight.

Très décevant comme restaurant. On paye plus de 500$ à deux pour des plats qui manquent énormément de gout & avec des portions très petites. On se fait dire qu'il''manque de pain'' (?) & on se fait seulement servir de l'huile d'olive pour tremper le pain sans vinaigre balsamique (assez bizzare comme accompagnement). Le tartare de saumon est chaud & goutte absolument rien. Le seul plat qui s'est démarqué a été le dessert. À la fin, 18% de''tip'' est inclus malgré un service qui est loin d'être exceptionnel & on se fait dire que d'habitude on peut pas séparer le bill à plus que 2 mais que ce soir là ils ont plus de temps donc ils vont le séparer à tout notre groupe (un restaurant''recommandé Michelin'' qui n'est pas capable de séparer des factures c'est assez gênant). L'emplacement du restaurant est vraiment exceptionnel mais je ne comprendrai jamais comment ils ont pu être recommandé Michelin. Pour le tier de ce prix, il y a des dizaines de restaurants à Montréal qui sont de bien meilleure qualité, avec des meilleures portions, plus de gout & un bien meilleur service.

Nous avions pris un verre ainsi que des shooters au lounge du Marcus ce dimanche. Du début à la fin, le service de Janie a été très impoli & peu professionnel.

Aucun sourire, une attitude nonchalante, & elle revenait constamment aux cinq minutes pour nous demander de recommander alors que nos verres étaient encore pleins. Nous avons ressenti une forte pression à consommer davantage, malgré des cocktails déjà à 40 $ & un billet d'entrée à 50 $.

À la fin de la soirée, alors qu'une voiture nous attendait en bas, nous avons simplement redemandé la facture & elle nous a répondu en nous levant le ton & en nous faisant une lecture sur l'étiquette à avoir autour d'elle. Ce manque de professionnalisme & de courtoisie est vraiment décevant pour un établissement de ce niveau.

First & foremost, shoutout to Fred (sommelier) 🍷 really great experience with him. Knows his products, regions, really gave good advice & didn't give off the vibe of just upselling. Will definitely be back.

Have come here many times for dinner & brunch. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere & service.

Definitely among the top tier places you can go to on any given day of the week or year.

I went to Marcus at the Four Seasons Montréal for Christmas dinner with my mom, & overall it was a wonderful experience. The food & drinks were absolutely amazing. Everything looked incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, & thoughtfully executed. I'm usually not a mushroom person at all, but the truffle pasta was genuinely otherworldly. One of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave.

The ambiance felt festive yet elegant, & it made for a really special Christmas night with my mom.

The only downside was at the very start. Despite having a reservation, we were asked to wait over 30 minutes for our table, while it seemed that someone familiar with the staff, possibly a hotel regular or friend, was seated ahead of us. I understand that this kind of thing can happen in hospitality, especially in high-end hotels, but it did take away a bit from the Christmas spirit & excitement we walked in with.

That said, once seated, everything else truly delivered. I wouldn't let one moment of awkward customer service overshadow how excellent the food, drinks, & overall experience were. If the opportunity comes, I would definitely give it a second chance & go again, & I would still highly recommend Marcus as a standout spot in Montréal. 🫶🏻
