The octopus was amazing, but the shrimp & orzo dish was our favorite. The sea bass tartare was fresh & delicious. We had the chocolate tart with pistachios, ice cream & beautiful lattes to end what was a truly phenomenal meal. Other people were talking about how amazing the lamb is, so we will have to go back to try that. Even the asparagus we ordered was charred to perfection with a citrus sauce, sprinkled with feta... Truly delicious!
The decor is beautiful & made up of marble & leather. We sat at an amazing table that looked out on a beautiful street in the heart of the old Port. All around us were little intimate places which are perfect for working or romance.
But it is the staff that take the experience to another level. Working together as a seamless team, everyone from the valet to the waiter & waitresses to the chef were attentive & kind.
We had a fabulous time from beginning to end. Truly a wonderful experience.
My friend & I had an amazing experience at Mama C thanks to our lovely server Melissa!! We got the tartare, pieuvre & lobster pasta & everything exceeded our expectations! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful restaurant. We loved some plates (shrimp, moussaka, salads). But some need to be improved (too much heavy cream on the truffle pasta, the chicken is average with no veggies to the side, chocolate tart was too dry). I believe for the pricing they could definitely ask their chef to work better & fix these issues. Great ambiance.
La décoration de Mama C est exceptionnelle & correspond aux standards du Vieux-Port, c'est-à-dire moderne & presque luxueux. La musique est agréable en arrière-fond. La nourriture goûter par mes invités étaient exceptionnelles. Lorsque des clients vous reviennent avec cette mention, c'est excellent pour notre entreprise. Enfin, le professionnalisme des serveuses était à la hauteur & le manager (ou propriétaire) était un passionné avec un effort fait pour nous servir en français. Somme toute, le restaurant est exceptionnel. Je le recommande pour des rencontres professionnelles.
The restaurant decor is stunning. Very elegant & classy.
The food was delicious. We were a bug party, therefore had to take the group menu. It's a little pricy but were had 4 services & the amount of food were more than enough. My favorite dishes were the Seabass fish & the shrimp orzo. The salads & the cervice were great. However, some of the dishes were a little salty.
The service was amazing. The waiters even withdrawn the fishbones!
For a special occasion, it is a nice restaurant to try it out.
100% recommend, the food is fresh & very flavourful, the service is great , very nice decor too. The Dorad Sashimi was fantastic just like everything else.

The food was good but the waitress was a little weird & too much. If she asked if something was good, she had to wait to see that you tried it first, like literally ate the food or drank the drink. That's odd. Additionally, I put that I was celebrating my birthday on the reservation & nothing was done to celebrate it. So, I'm extremely bummed about that.

Dès notre arrivée, la déco m'a vraiment impressionnée : chaque détail a été pensé avec soin, que ce soient les petites fleurs délicates sur chaque table ou la carte soigneusement présentée avec l'addition. Un véritable travail minutieux de la personne derrière ces petites touches. L'ambiance & la musique, choisies avec goût, complètent l'atmosphère chaleureuse & conviviale du resto.
Pour l'occasion, nous avons eu un prix de groupe à 150 $ par personne. Même si les portions d'entrées étaient modestes, chaque bouchée était un délice. Elles étaient si savoureuses que j'aurais bien aimé en avoir davantage, mais en partageant, nous avons eu l'opportunité de goûter à chacun des plats & de manger à notre faim tout en appréciant une grande variété de mets tout au long des différents services.
Honnêtement, je ne comprends pas les commentaires négatifs : Mama C mérite amplement ces 5 étoiles ! Merci pour cette magnifique découverte qui a rendu la soirée d'anniversaire de notre amie inoubliable, & un petit clin d'oeil à la personne qui a pensé aux petits détails :) . En tant qu'entrepreneure, je crois qu'il est important de souligner les réussites & d'encourager ces entreprises locales qui mettent toute leur énergie, leur passion & leur coeur dans ce qu'elles font. Ce restaurant incarne parfaitement l'amour du travail bien fait!

We had a fantastic time at Mama C! We sat at the bar, & the service was outstanding. Antony & Francis took excellent care of us, making sure our drinks were always full & that we had everything we needed. The ambience was warm & inviting, & the crowd added to the great energy of the place. Whether you're looking for a relaxed evening or a lively atmosphere, Mama C delivers. Highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar-you won't be disappointed!
I had the pleasure of dining at Mama C, & everything about the experience was fantastic. From the warm & inviting ambiance to the delicious food & excellent service, it was clear that a lot of care went into every detail. The menu offers a great selection, & every dish we tried was well-prepared & full of flavor.
One thing that really stood out was how understanding the staff was. With the heavy snowfall & winter conditions, finding parking nearby was a challenge, which unfortunately made us late for our reservation. When we called to let them know, they were incredibly kind & accommodating-something you don't always experience at other places that might give you a hard time in that situation.
Overall, Mama C is a great addition to the city's dining scene, & I'll definitely be back!
