Maiko Sushi ressort comme une adresse prisée où la fraîcheur du poisson, les présentations soignées et un service attentif créent une expérience vraiment remarquable. Les plats sont reconnus pour leur saveur et leur équilibre, avec des sushis et des spécialités comme le Kaki Aghe, le Sunset et les Perles de Maiko qui séduisent par leur finesse et leurs textures, sans oublier les desserts chocolatés et les entrées variées. L'ambiance est élégante et le décor met vraiment les assiettes en valeur, le personnel est rapide, professionnel et chaleureux même quand la salle est très fréquentée; il est donc recommandé de réserver, surtout les soirs de week-end. Dans l'ensemble, les retours évoquent une expérience culinaire de haut niveau et une constance de qualité et de présentation qui donnent envie de revenir.
Maiko over the years has become one of the best sushi restaurants in the West Island. The menu is huge with so many interesting options many visits are part of the fun in trying new items. The fish is expertly prepared & of the highest quality, service is outstanding, very helpful but not overbearing.
On weekends they are quite busy, somewhat loud so reservations are a must
A visit can be expensive or it can be very reasonable considering the talent, quality, a wonderful experience :)
Sadly disappointed. Been going to Maiko on & off for years & this time both my husband & I said we wouldn't go back for dinner & would rather try somewhere else. The sashimis were fantastic but the maki rolls were mostly bland.
Apart form the Bonzai & l'Enfer rolls, which were to perfection, the other 4 were overly stuffed with rice & heavy on the tempura. The fish was more of an afterthought as we could barely taste or see it. Even the vegetarian roll with sweet potato had only small strips of potato in it.
For the price we paid ($105 plus wine) we didn't feel we got what we had paid for. The quality of the fish was great but the quantity in the makis was disappointing.
ALSO, I had made our reservation 2 weeks in advance & called the day of to request a table in the front of the restaurant (which I was told yes to) but when we arrived they were full so they put us in the back area of the restaurant by the hallway leading to the washrooms & kitchen!
All in all not the best experience at Maiko but the ambience is impressive & our waiter was nice too.
One of my favorite restaurants on the West Island, not only for it's great quality in Sushi but also for the fantastic ambiance. I've never been disappointed!
I have been to Maiko sushi several times, however, this was the first time for my friends & the food & ambience were nothing but extraordinary. The amount of quality & detail that goes into every dish is impeccable from the first to the last bite. If you are looking for a great sushi spot, that isn't a cheap all-you-can-eat but rather something refined & delectable, Maiko Sushi is worth the detour!
Excellent staff & tasteful decor make for a really pleasant atmosphere. Great menu variety. The food quality & plate presentation are exceptional. Did not give perfect score because wait time between plates was somewhat unreasonable for this level of establishment - most certainly an isolated case & certainly not a deal-breaker.
Excellent lunch - quality of food is great. Great ambiance. Good service - food took a bit of time to arrive, but it's understandable as restaurant was packed with people out at holiday lunch.
Great value for lunch specials also! Highly recommended!
High quality sushi & other foods, meal for 2 was a decent portion & came with a soup. Maybe we should of not taken the entree. No place for dessert! Pricy place to go which is well aimed at the great food & great service. I will be going again!
Probably the best Japanese restaurant in Montreal. From the presentation, to the quality of the dishes & the service, everything was impeccable. Definitely will return.
