The fried seafood was mushy & overly salty, while the curry lacked the vibrant flavors I was expecting. The mango salad had a peculiar aftertaste that was off-putting. On a positive note, the Tom Yum soup was excellent. However, the dining experience was marred by the small open kitchen with a malfunctioning vent, making the place uncomfortably hot.
The mango sticky rice was AMAZING, flavourful, nice presentation & warm. The server was the kindest person ever, super sweet, the cook also. I was the only one inside but felt really comfortable!
I asked them to shape my mango sticky rice into a heart. They did. 5/5 hearts.❤❤❤❤❤
Happened to chance upon this hidden gem & their food takes me back to Thailand! Mango salad was delicious & place has great vibes!
Hands down best Thaï restaurant I've ever tried the Kra-Chai is my favorite dish with juicy fish itms to die for. Dessert was absolute fire too the stocky mango one🔥 Chef has a magic touch & the waitress was super welcoming & professional
Food very good & authentic. had the phadkrapao & Green curry. The pice on both is right. The mango sticky rice as a dessert at the end was perfect
This has had to be, without a doubt, my favourite restaurant experience. The food was amazing & you can tell it was made with soul. The pad thai & pad seew were so delicious. & the mango sticky rice was just as delicious & heart shaped! I went with my partner so it felt extra special. The staff was extremely friendly, Kira included! I truly felt like part of a big family. Coming back here 10000%, & a big recommend to all who are curious.
Overall, I enjoyed the meal, service & quaint atmosphere. the pad-krachai I found a little salty for my liking ( could have had more green peppercorns, & maybe a different veggie to sweet peppers). the mango fruit was ripe but tangy. unfortunately, not a thai mango. All things considered, it was all right though (prices I found to be on the expensive side).
Montreal is a great city for experiencing authentic cuisines & tonight's adventure was Thai. We were walking through the area & decided to try this small second floor restaurant & it did not disappoint. We were early so had the place to ourselves though Uber eats drivers kept coming & going. We tried their mango salad & a variation of pad Thai using larger flat rice noodles that was very good. Definitely recommend!
The food preparation was very disappointing. All the food delivered was bland … very little seasoning… dry… it was as if the meat was simply placed in the bowl next to the rice . Mango salad had no spice even though I asked for medium spice . Other beef chicken & pork plates were subpar …The quality of the food was fine … it’s just that the taste was flavourless .maybe it’s better in the restaurant, but Uber eats delivery quality was not good . I’ve tried Thai from around the world & many in montreal . This was not good unfortunately.
Very authentic taste & exotic ambiance. Had the spicy wings, red curry, Tom yum soup & mango sticky rice. I’d recommend them all since they all tasted great.
Downside:
- beef quality should be better / more tender with that price range. Same as the steamed rice (we all except having authentic Thai rices with curries, aren’t we!)
- no AC inside, might be too hot for ppl coming on summer days.
