Madame Poulet delivers a focused culinary experience centered on expertly prepared fried chicken that achieves the ideal balance of a crispy, seasoned exterior and remarkably succulent meat. The menu prioritizes comfort food fundamentals, featuring substantial burgers constructed with high-quality patties and fresh, crisp toppings on toasted buns. Every dish relies on straightforward preparation methods that prioritize texture and deep, savory flavor profiles over unnecessary complexity. The kitchen maintains consistent standards to ensure that every serving of poultry meets strict expectations for heat and tenderness. Diners find a streamlined selection that highlights the versatility of chicken, ranging from classic fried pieces to hearty, handheld sandwiches. This establishment serves as a dedicated destination for those seeking reliable, high-quality comfort staples crafted with precision and a clear commitment to traditional culinary techniques.
Madame Poulet receives highly polarized feedback regarding both its food and service standards. Many patrons praise the quality of the chicken, noting it as crispy, tender, and among the best in the city, though others report inconsistent experiences with cold meals, bland seasoning, and issues with items missing from takeout or delivery orders. Concerns are frequently raised about the significant price increases, the loud and often inappropriate music, and a lack of consistent customer service, with many visitors reporting rude or inattentive staff. While some specific team members are frequently commended for their warmth and efficiency, others are described as unhelpful or poorly trained, leading to long wait times and an overall experience that many feel does not justify the current cost.
Superb/classy service from the team working during my visit this Friday July 17th 2026 around 2PM. I ordered their bone-in offering of The Tomacluck (semi-deboned chicken leg - on the picture, it is the lil' guy on the right side ) as well as their tenders (on the picture, it is the lil' guy on the left side). Their chicken is freshly cooked (something that some solo operations celebrated for their fried chicken cannot always guarantee...), & the fried chicken had superb taste & textures. Clean, well kept place. Great discovery! Continue your great job Madame Poulet.
I had the junior sandwich & was disappointed. The chicken didn't taste fresh & was pretty bland. Paying $13 for just a small sandwich felt overpriced for the portion size & quality. Service at the register was also awkward & unwelcoming. I'm not going there again.

We went to Madame Poulet with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The staff refused to speak English with us, so we had to order in French, which was manageable but still not very welcoming.
We ordered four plates: the new Chicken Tomacluck for myself & three chicken burgers for my wife & kids. The'chicken burgers' are not really burgers - they're chicken tenders placed inside a hamburger bun - so be aware of that before ordering.
The Tomacluck was mostly batter, & the chicken inside didn't taste properly cooked; the texture was still slimy, which was very off-putting.
On top of that, the restaurant was extremely cold - I had to eat my meal with my jacket on. The total for the four meals was approximately $85, which made the experience even more disappointing given the quality.
Ironically, the best part of the meal was the fresh-cut fries. For a chicken restaurant, the chicken itself was not the highlight. Overall, not an experience we would repeat
Madame Poulet is an absolute delight for anyone who appreciates exceptional food & warm hospitality. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a cozy & inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff is attentive, friendly, & truly passionate about making sure every guest has a memorable dining experience. The menu offers a wonderful selection of dishes, each prepared with care & bursting with fresh flavors.
Save yourself from ordering the Louisiane burger, it was awful unfortunately.. the bacon inside was hard like rock & the chicken was nowhere near fresh, how can you even serve a cold burger?? the pasta was good at least
First I walk in & the music was so loud you couldn't hear or be heard.
The lady at the counter didn't even say hello & barely spoke, she was just pointing with her finger.
When I get my order, the drink was warm on a 30 degree weather.
the Mac & cheese tasted like boiled water, there was barely any cheese sauce.
The chicken arrived cold & the burger had half a piece of bacon, one tomato slice thin as paper & not fresh at all.
The actual chicken recipe is good but it's a shame they have such bad service.
We decided to give it a try & didn't regret it. Decent size sandwiches were fresh & tasty, not greasy or too salty. The lady at the counter was kind... will go back.. no pictures cause we were too eager to eat 😋
The cashier was super sweet & patient with me & the atmosphere was great. At the time that I came, it was busy, with about half of the tables being filled. Despite this, the cashier brought out my food within 5-10 minutes. It was hot, fresh & worth for what I paid. The chicken strips were super crispy & well seasoned, the waffle fries were soft on the inside & crispy on the outside & their signature sauce was super tasty. Will definitely be visiting again! 😊
