MacTaverne was the perfect discovery on our recent trip to Val-David from Ottawa. After a day on the trails, its cozy, rustic atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, but the food & drinks truly elevated the experience. We were immediately impressed by their creative cocktails, which were a clear cut above standard pub offerings. While their Fish & Chips were perfectly crispy & delicious, the absolute showstopper was a surprisingly brilliant linguine. Finding a pasta dish so vibrant & perfectly executed was a delightful surprise that proved this kitchen has serious range.
