In my takeout order, I had to discard nearly two tablespoons of oil.
Great experience stopping in at Lulu's Pasta Bar. Good energy & smiles on the staff & customers looking very happy with their pastas. The place is very clean, service is quick, especially considering it was busy & each pasta is made fresh to order. They are making the fresh pasta right at the front when you walk in. Had the mushroom truffle with rigatoni which was absolutely delicious, & the recommended Tuscan chicken with rigatoni which was also very good & tasty. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente which is so rare with these types of places, reminded of Italy. The portions are a really nice size, & come piping hot. Can't wait to return to try the bolognese which it seemed a lot of people were eating & the pistachio pesto which sounded good; too many choices! There's about 8 tables inside & a terrasse in front, so gotta be lucky if you plan to eat on site. Many people were taking theirs to go.

Great pasta & good value, but the customer service needs improvement. I had an odd experience when I chose a blood-orange drink instead of a Coca-Cola.When picking up my food, I was told to wait & pay an extra dollar without any prior notice about the price difference. This caused an unnecessary five-minute delay at the counter with a long line of people behind me. A simple heads-up about the price change would have been enough. It just left a bad taste in my mouth, I believe the restaurant has potential & just needs to improve its hospitality & customer service.
We finally got enjoy some creamy, delicious pasta in a cup. The freshly made semolina flour pasta, served in a 250g portion that seems smaller in pictures than it is (we weren't able to finish 3/4 of it), boasts 30g of protein & a list of vitamins & minerals not typically found in pasta served in North America. We tried two items from the "créations de Lulu" part of the menu, & you'd definitely be delulu if you didn't love them. Obviously, we had to get the Creamy Cheeseburger, & we also tried the Creamy Chicken Chipotle. Both were satisfying, luscious, & delectable. We love the concept of a pasta bar, & we're not alone because the place was full to the brim with people trying to get their pasta fix at the giant cup-shaped counter (which we also loved). They also serve desserts that include lemon cake (which we tried, & it was great), Nutella cornetto or cannoli, & some alcoholic drinks. If you, like us, have been noticing a lot of hype since they opened & are wondering if it's justified, the answer is yes. The hype is real, & we will be back (with more people) to try more of their menu.
Amazing food, format & concept. For Montreal, the portions are large for the price (a good thing!), especially since the quality of the food is excellent. I had never ordered pasta at a restaurant until Lulu's came along, & they sell it in a resealable, cup-like container reminiscent of Asian noodles, which is also great if you're on the go. Whoever thought up this business really understood the needs of the 21st century urban dweller. They could easily take this to franchise-level across Mtl & beyond.
Saved this for my last dinner in Montreal & boy did I save the best for last! The pasta is amazing, & the staff is super accommodating, allowing you to make changes to the classic pastas. This will be my first stop when I'm back in Montreal next!

Stopped by Bar à Pâtes Lulu for a quick food pickup & was thoroughly impressed! The pasta was fresh & the portion sizes were generous. The place is very well organized, & watching the live preparation added a fun touch to the experience. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes & make sure to take some pictures. Highly recommended!
I love the concept of fresh pasta but provided at a counter. Pasta doesn't have to be a sit down restaurant by candlelight in some fancy place in Old Montreal. This place brings it together with great, freshly in-house made pasta, providing a super selection of different dishes, some permanent & some changing. Portions are huge & the price is fair. Definitely will be coming back.
Have been walking past this little gem a few times now & it was always packed so I knew it was going to be good. Ordered the smoked meat pasta ( think it's a limited time item) & it was soooo good!! Good service. I think they just need a bigger place.
The pasta is mouth-watering. The tomatoes are packed with flavour. The Parsley is fresh. Prices are reasonable.
The fresh made pasta was amazing, the staff was very kind & the food came out quickly even though the restaurant was packed. I'm happy to have lulu's in my neighborhood:)
Literally the best pasta place I could find for a long long time, I live in a different city & literally come here everytime I'm in town, absolutely fantastic!!!
First time trying Lulu's & the hype is real! The pasta is fresh & tasty. The portions are great, you can have some now & some for later. It is filling but doesn't make you feel groggy. The customer service is also amazing. After you order they bring your order to you & top your pasta w cheese & parsley. I also love that you can see the fresh pasta being cut in the window of the store. I also met the owner & she explained a bit about the process & the ingredients used for the pasta . The pasta is high in protein so it's great. I cannot wait to go back & try new flavors. For reference I got the creamy pesto w chicken & the other one is the creamy taco! PS the lemon cake is also very good!
They need to be more generous with the protein. They ration of chicken to pasta is about 1 to 10. You mostly end up paying for a big plain pasta dish 🙄
Undercooked pasta. Overpriced for the really underwhelming quality, the sauce was nothing special & lacked a lot of flavour. For $23 for a bowl of pasta you are better off going to a real italian restaurant. Service is quite friendly so atleast they have that going for them.
I usually never go out to eat Pasta but my girlfriend took me to this place & it's Amazing the food is super delicious & fresh, would definitely recommend it to everyone!!
