Review Summary

LOV is widely regarded as a beautiful and stylish destination in Montreal, offering an elegant atmosphere that many guests find perfect for dates, special occasions, or casual gatherings. Visitors consistently praise the creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented plant-based cuisine, with standout items like the carbonara, risotto, arancini, and various mocktails frequently earning high marks. While many patrons highlight the kind, attentive, and professional nature of the staff, experiences with service speed and consistency can be mixed, ranging from efficient and welcoming to occasionally slow or disorganized. Despite some differing opinions on portion sizes and seasoning, the majority of diners, including those who are not strictly vegetarian or vegan, consider the restaurant a memorable and high-quality spot that provides a unique and enjoyable culinary experience.

Exceptional service & ambiance!
I had the breakfast poutine & waffle, I wish I ordered the brioche! Food would be 5/5 if it had that beloved greasy diner flavour & crispy potatoes! Love the vegetarian/vegan option downtown MTL. Just missing the flavour!

It's a perfect place for a date. It's quiet enough to talk yet with plenty of vibe & energy.

A beautiful space with engaging staff with top shelf vegan fare. We came for brunch & had the tofu Benedict & mushroom crostini. Both were amazing. The tofu Benedict was filling with two pieces of the main plated with seasoned potatoes & a very fresh salad. We are in Montreal for a few days & will definitely be back!

I tried this place for the first time & the food was very much lacking in flavour - in my opinion. The service was great, but the food was left to be desired.

We went to Lov for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The interior is open & spacious. The menu is simple. We ordered the arancini & the dumplings for appetizers. The arancini is a decent size & three balls come on one portion. The sauce was flavorful but the arancini themselves were quite dry. The dumplings come with six very small pieces. They are minimally stuffed. The sauce was good, but you couldn't taste much if the filling since it was so little. The filling when had by itself was very flavorful, they just need to add a lot more filling to justify calling these dumplings.
For our entrees we ordered the roasted cauliflower (from the appetizers) & the coco curry. The roasted cauliflower was cooked well, it was tender. It was also quite large, so a good item to share. The coco curry was very flavorful, perfect warming fall spices. The bowl is made with a mix of basmati rice & quinoa as the base & topped with chickpeas in a gravy, wilted kale, & cooked peppers & carrots. It's topped with whole cashews & slivered almonds. A very hearty & nourishing bowl.
Restaurant is very big & spacious. We walked in at 5:30 PM & had plenty of eating available. It was half full when we left at 7 PM.

We had the truffle risotto, the Cari Coco bowl, the brownie, & the crème brûlée - everything was delicious! The crème brûlée was the best we've ever had. The service was good, though the dining room was a bit cold.

The food was good but the service was abysmal. We were the only guests in the whole restaurant & were ignored. People need to understand that staff chatting on the floor ruins the atmosphere of a restaurant. Everyone who was working tonight should be fired.
