My sister & I were on a vacation & were looking for a vegetarian place. So glad we found this place. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by our host. There were lots of options to choose from. I chose carbonara & my sister opted for a California bowl. We also ordered dumplings for starters. Everything tasted so good. I loved my food a lot, the best pasta I've ever had.
Tbh, it used to be very average & now its straight up bad. Went for brunch after mot going for +1 year & i do not want to go back ever. The food is not good & overpriced, service slow but nice. The only thing it has going is the decor & location.
We visited Montreal & were looking for vegetarian options when we found LOV. This place is truly amazing, & the vibe is very aesthetic. Their crispy fish tacos(vegan & made up from soy protein not from fish) & Black Pearl mocktail is scrumptious-definitely a must-try if you enjoy fruity flavors with a hint of lavender.
The food was good, but we got scammed? on the sparkling water bottle. We were charged $16 ($8 x 2) just because we were two people. The receipt says'750ml x 2' but we only got a single 750ml bottle & that we only drank half too.
Feels scammy.

Je suis allée plusieurs fois à LOV, mais j'ai vraiment été déçue la dernière fois. Les quantités ont diminué & les prix ont augmenté. Mon crostini aux champignons se résumait à une très très fine tranche de pain (pour 20$ le toast pourquoi ne pas faire une belle tranche consistante?) avec une toute petite poignées de champignons très salés. Nous avons demandé de la mayonnaise sur le côté & avons reçu de l'aïoli. Mon amie a demandé une salade à la place des pommes frites. Ils ont chargé le même prix pour l'assiette (supposée être toast + les pommes frites) en retirant les pommes frites & on chargeant un supplément pour la salade. Franchement?
C'était ma dernière fois à LOV.
As a vegan, this was my favorite spot to eat during my stays in Montreal. The staff was always incredibly warm & welcoming & the food always amazing. I've had cauliflower from all over but this cauliflower was easily the best I've ever had, just such flavorful, melt in your mouth goodness. & the tofu benedict at brunch was so good I had it three times. I've also really enjoyed the green goddess salad & coconut curry. My last night in town I was so torn on which of my favorites to order for my last meal & they just so happened to doing a special restaurant week menu where I was able to order the green goddess, cauliflower, curry, & a brownie for dessert, it truly made for the perfect goodbye. I will miss this place & highly recommend it to anyone!
From start to finish, a wonderful experience. Great selection of wines. The dumplings & risotto were delicious & warming. Great portion sizes. Waitress was very friendly & made for a wonderful service. One of the best espresso martinis I have had in my life - the cardamom was a lovely & unique touch & paired very well with their brownie. Will absolutely be returning.
I've always thought that LOV was 100% vegan & I am quite frustrated to know it is not. I don't know if they changed it recently or if it has always been like this but I won't go back. It's really easy for vegetarians to eat at any restaurants, your cuisine becomes special when you're able to provide something out of the ordinary.
The service was impeccable & the food was amazing! I had a mushroom risotto dish as my main & crème brûlée for dessert … both were vegan & completely dreamy! I hope to get back here soon.

Went to Lov for dinner on a Sunday night with our traveling party of three couples, which included a vegan a vegetarian. Great experience. The space, in an old city Montreal building, is great. Food, drinks & wine were first rate. Staff was welcoming, knowledgeable & attentive. Dinner was relaxed & perfectly paced. Just a great experience.
Superb service, the waitress was incredibly sweet & professional. She did not hurry us at all despite ordering 30 minutes before closing time. The restaurant & bathrooms were very clean. Most importantly the food was incredibly tasteful & beautifully plated. All in all, wonderful ambience, short walk from the metro & quick service of incredible food could not recommend this place enough.
Je vais à ce restaurant de manière régulière car j'avais l'habitude d'adorer les plats! Malheureusement, la qualité des plats se dégrade de plus en plus jusqu'à cette dernière visite où les plats (les mêmes déjà pris précédemment) n'avaient aucune saveur… une soupe qui ressemblait à de l'eau parfumée à la coriandre & la sauce des raviolis également comme de l'eau
Je suis vraiment déçue même si le service est irréprochable comme les fois précédentes, il s'agit plutôt de la cuisine qui laisse à désirer…
De plus, les tables sont vraiment rapprochées au point où cette fois il était même dur de converser avec mon conjoint tellement le bruit aux tables voisines était fort 🙁
