The service was great, but the food was left to be desired.
We went to Lov for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The interior is open & spacious. The menu is simple. We ordered the arancini & the dumplings for appetizers. The arancini is a decent size & three balls come on one portion. The sauce was flavorful but the arancini themselves were quite dry. The dumplings come with six very small pieces. They are minimally stuffed. The sauce was good, but you couldn't taste much if the filling since it was so little. The filling when had by itself was very flavorful, they just need to add a lot more filling to justify calling these dumplings.
For our entrees we ordered the roasted cauliflower (from the appetizers) & the coco curry. The roasted cauliflower was cooked well, it was tender. It was also quite large, so a good item to share. The coco curry was very flavorful, perfect warming fall spices. The bowl is made with a mix of basmati rice & quinoa as the base & topped with chickpeas in a gravy, wilted kale, & cooked peppers & carrots. It's topped with whole cashews & slivered almonds. A very hearty & nourishing bowl.
Restaurant is very big & spacious. We walked in at 5:30 PM & had plenty of eating available. It was half full when we left at 7 PM.
We had the truffle risotto, the Cari Coco bowl, the brownie, & the crème brûlée - everything was delicious! The crème brûlée was the best we've ever had. The service was good, though the dining room was a bit cold.
The food was good but the service was abysmal. We were the only guests in the whole restaurant & were ignored. People need to understand that staff chatting on the floor ruins the atmosphere of a restaurant. Everyone who was working tonight should be fired.
We would like to thank the LOV McGill restaurant for creating a wonderful experience for us! Latifa the'Queen' of service & hospitality was our waitress. The vegetarian dishes were'incroyable'. The meal, cocktails & desserts made our milestone celebration a memorable one. Thank you to Latifa & the team for an amazing experience!!!! We love LOV!
Cauliflower appetizer was amazingggggg. Carbonara is def more beefy than bacon-y but still good. Fish tacos were excellent. Risotto also super delicious, but more like congee than risotto. Overall everything was super yummy I was pleasantly surprised.
Nous sommes allées pour le brunch un samedi. Le service était très rapide & professionnel. La nourriture était délicieuse. Très bonnes portions & prix raisonnables.
Je recommande le tofu bénédictine😍
