Since its creation, Lola Rosa is non-vegetarians' favorite vegetarian restaurant. We want to prove that eating without meat is possible and delicious. We offer appetizing dishes inspired from our mothers and grand-mothers. A ragout, a curry, chilli, tomato tart and lasagna are some items found on the menu.
We serve you, in a homely manner, the best Nachos in town! All in a warm decor. Try one of our local beers to pair with those Nachos. And if that's not enough to inspire you, or if you are looking for ideas for your next philosophy class, all you need to do is open our table drawers.
Reviews describe Lola Rosa as a cozy, welcoming vegan and vegetarian friendly spot near Place des Arts with a lively vibe and plenty of plant based options that appeal to everyone. The menu includes crowd pleasers like chickpea fries, curry dishes, lasagna, the Cajun burger, poutine and desserts, and reviewers note thoughtful allergen information and strong value. Service is repeatedly praised as friendly, attentive, and efficient, with many mentioning a warm welcome and helpful staff, though a few visits mention slow days or occasional inconsistencies. The atmosphere, plant filled decor and the terrace add to the appeal for casual meals, dates, or group gatherings, and the space is described as clean and comfortable. Private events are highlighted as well organized with accommodating staff. Some reviews point out noise or that a couple of dishes could use more flavor, but the overall sentiment is that Lola Rosa delivers dependable plant based fare that even non vegans often enjoy.
I came here with an injured knee, walking on a cane. When I went in, I remembered that the toilets were on the third floor. I looked at it & thought 'oh no'.
Then the server said "You can use the staff one, it's right here" which I thought was awesome.
The Lola Cheesesteak was great & all the staff were awesome too.
Great service that was friendly & polite. We loved the crispy cauliflower, & really enjoyed the hemp burger (caramelized onions & sauce made it awesome) & the curry. The limonade is on the sweeter side, very refreshing!

After a nasty experience the previous evening at a restaurant across the street (Sesame), we were delighted by our evening at Lola Rosa. Despite being very busy (understandably) the service was prompt & friendly. Our server took the necessary time to answer our questions & recommend favourites. The decor was warm & welcoming, & made us quite comfortable. As for the food, wow! Sometimes vegetarian meals pretending to have meat can be disappointing, but everything we tried, we loved! Especially the poutine! We will be back every time we are in Montreal!
Waited more than 45 minutes for a plate of nachos. The nachos were great, but it just didn't work for us as we were finally I n a rush. They reduced our bill which we appreciated, but obviously over booked restaurant & insufficient staff. Kind of a drag.
