I decided to try this L'hamburger location, as I had tried the other location on St Zotique street I had high expectations of receiving the same quality of food. Unfortunately I was very disappointed the first time the burgers were extremely salty, I could not finish it. But I decided to give it another shot, this time I experienced the same issue, the burgers were EXTREMELY salty, after examining the meat I could clearly see chunks of salt, the salt clearly is not being dissolved on the meat. The service was good & the workers were friendly. I think if they changed the type of salt they used, it would be 10/10.

Has the Oklahoma burger, excellent 👌. Love the caramelized onions & the crispy edges on the smash patties. The Diablo fries were also fantastic, that sauce is delish, actually gonna ask if they can turn the heat up even more. Not much sitting room though, so I'd probably stick to delivery.

Me & my partner used to love this place. But recently they have been so obsessed with using too much salt!
The burgers have coarse salt chunks which really takes away from what is normally an amazing burger. It tastes way too salty. The quantity & quality of fries is really nice but similar to the burger, they recently started adding crazy amounts of salt to the them for no reason. Not coming back for a while.

My first true smash burger moment happened almost by surprise during a summer walk through downtown Montreal with my daughter, & I can still feel that excitement. The burger showed up wrapped in paper, no drama, no buildup. Then came the first bite, & everything clicked instantly. The patty was thin with boldly crispy edges that snapped before giving way to a juicy, intensely beefy center. It was pure, comforting, & completely addictive. In that single bite, my idea of what a burger could be changed forever. I did not realize it at the time, but that moment sent me chasing that same feeling, & it kept leading me back to L'Hamburger.
What truly sets L'Hamburger apart is its confidence in doing less & doing it better. There are no distractions, just skill, heat, & balance. The patties are smashed hard on a blazing flat top, creating that irresistible caramelization without weighing you down. The buns melt into the bite, the toppings feel familiar & perfectly portioned, & the sauces lift everything without stealing the show. Then there are the fries. The portions are unapologetically generous, to the point where I sometimes laugh & wonder if the hamburger has quietly become the side dish. Piled high, golden, & crisp, they are made for sharing, yet somehow always disappear faster than expected.
Over time, L'Hamburger has carved out a permanent spot in my personal Montreal food story. It is where I go when I want comfort with excitement, simplicity with soul. Nothing feels skimpy, rushed, or overthought. From the towering fries to the perfectly executed smash burgers, every visit leaves me full & genuinely happy. Familiar, crave worthy, & consistently hitting all the right notes, L'Hamburger is the kind of place that turns a casual meal into a small celebration. Take your taste buds to L'Hamburger. WOW!!!!! This place is off the hook! I ordered a lettuce wrap hamburger, & it was sooooo good, Fresh & oh! sooo good. Both the staff members who work there are just excellent, friendly, & very professional. I will make this place my go-to when I want a good hamburger... Thank you, boys. I loved being there & enjoying the great food.

Service was very fast. The food was incredible. The fries were perfectly crispy & the portion was larger than I expected. The smash burger was awesome; they used all the right ingredients in the right amounts. Not overly priced either, about $16 for a burger & fries. Way better than McDonald's (or similar places) for the same price. I highly recommend checking this place out.

They have three things on the menu & the fries are frozen. The poutine tasted like McDonald's.
Burger: 3.5/5 tasted good but didn't blow me away.
Fries 1/5 tastes like McDonald's.

Quick & friendly service. Good spot for smash burgers - meat was cooked fresh, crispy, & flavourful. Poutine portion was huge - good cheese & sauce, & fries were crispy & perfectly salted. Several high stools inside to dine in, otherwise there are picnic tables outside for warmer days.

I ordered via Ubereats. The cheeseburgers are yummy. The french fries is average. It was a bit over cooked. The milkshakes are average too. I will give it 7/10. You can still improve. I will still order.

Tried this place with a couple of buddies. Service was friendly & efficient. Pricing was fair at just below $9 for a double cheeseburger. The food was delicious but I found that the patties were a bit too smashed. This tended to dry out the meat. The patties were literally smashed till they were just over 1/8" thick. Too thin in my opinion. They served them on Martin's potato buns which is a definite win. Won't be hard to get that 5th star. Would recommend.

Great restaurant! Having a smash burger was definitely a nice luxury! A pretty unqiue, but not completely unfamiliar type of burger. The fries were also perfect, to my preferences at least. Overall, great food & nice service. However, don'r expect to dine in the restaurant. Unfortunately, it's somewhat small &, if you want a table, you'll have to eat outdoors. Come here if you want a different kind of burger & have some good food with the family!

Expecting the burger to taste close to Shake Shack but it falls short. The burger was lacking salt. It was bland. Would have preferred more cheese. The service was excellent & I love their fries…thin & crispy. Will return & give it another try but asking for more salt on the smashed patties next time. They should offer the Oklahoma Onion burger….had that in NYC from Motz & it was off the charts.

The burger was so juicy & crispy. They also give you a huge portion of fries when you order it. It definitely is a bit pricey though.
