Tasty appetisers & good wine. The place seemed understaffed & they were disorganised. This is the crème brulé I received after waiting for 40 minutes. Seems a bit bland. Joking aside, the food is ok but the service needs improvement. Not good value for money. My plate had many fingerprints on it. The place was too noisy.View more

### Restaurant Review: Restaurant Les Pyrénées, Old Montreal Celebrating our four-month journey living in Montreal, my wife & I were delighted to discover Restaurant Les Pyrénées, thanks to our family friends who have resided in Old Montreal for several years. This hidden gem offered a memorable dining experience, reflecting both the rich culinary heritage of the region & the vibrant atmosphere of Old Montreal. **Ambiance & Service:** Nestled in the heart of Old Montreal, Restaurant Les Pyrénées exudes a warm & inviting ambiance. The rustic decor, combined with a cozy, intimate setting, creates the perfect backdrop for a special celebration. The staff were attentive & knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with ease & ensuring our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. **Appetizer & Wine:** We started our meal with a classic appetizer of dip & bread, perfectly paired with a bottle of Bodegas Aroa Le Naturel Navarra wine. The dip was creamy & flavorful, & the bread was fresh & warm, setting a high standard for the dishes to follow. The wine, with its rich & robust flavors, complemented the appetizer beautifully. **Main Courses:** For our main course, we indulged in two exquisite dishes: 1. **Twelve Hours Braised Lamb:** The lamb, slow-cooked to perfection, was incredibly tender & flavorful. Accompanied by spinach with roasted almonds & a delicate thyme sauce, each bite was a harmonious blend of textures & tastes. The roasted almonds added a delightful crunch, & the thyme sauce elevated the dish to new heights. 2. **Rotinis with Chicken & Chorizo:** This dish was a vibrant medley of flavors & colors. The rotinis were cooked al dente, & the combination of chicken, chorizo, crunchy vegetables, olives, & sun-dried tomatoes created a symphony of tastes that was both hearty & satisfying. The chorizo added a spicy kick, while the sun-dried tomatoes provided a tangy sweetness that balanced the dish perfectly. **Dessert:** To conclude our meal, we opted for the Crème Caramel. This classic dessert was the ideal ending to our dining experience, with its smooth, creamy texture & rich caramel flavor. It paired wonderfully with the remaining sips of our wine, creating a delightful finish to our evening. **Conclusion:** Restaurant Les Pyrénées offered us an unforgettable dining experience, celebrating both our time in Montreal & the rich culinary traditions of the region. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, & a charming ambiance makes this restaurant a must-visit for anyone in Old Montreal. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a delightful meal, Restaurant Les Pyrénées is sure to impress.View more
A very enjoyable evening. A good selection of Spanish wines & excellent Spanish inspired dishes. Patient, attentive, friendly service from the waiter, Kevin from Angers. Definitely an address to revisit.View more
The service was very good, but the food was disappointing. We ordered the fish soup, goat cheese salad, & Catalonian anchovies to start. The salad was good, but the anchovies & soup were just okay. For the mains, we had the beef tartare & plancha calamari which were on special. We were disappointed with our choices, as the calamari dish was not seasoned & the calamari was a bit chewy, but the rice was pretty good. The beef tartare also disappointed us as the beef was chewy & the potato crisps were stale. Overall while it is a nice restaurant & the staff was amazing, we were disappointed with the execution & quality control of the dishes we ate in comparison to the amount we paid ($240 for the meal & a bottle of wine + taxes & tip).View more
A must when visiting Montreal. Joey met as at door & invited us in. Dorothy was an awesome server & Joey checked in regularly. Go for Grilled calamari vs fried. It was epic!. Paella was very authentic & tasty & the wine recommendation was perfect. The atmosphere is lovely & I can only imagine the summer & being outside. Thanks for a great dinner & make sure you visit when in Old Town. One of our favoritesView more
Fantastic service & location. Jeremy the head waiter as well as the manager (name?) are excellent at what they do. Knowledgeable, fast, friendly & most importantly have a great sense of humour. Also made a special dish for my somewhat finicky daughter. Food & wine were excellent.View more
Everything about the place was good. The soup of the day was lovely. The beek cheeks were nice. Service was pleasant, even though they forgot about my glass of wine until the end. All in all; good.
