Bien dommage que le service soit assez expéditif parfois. Mais dans l'ensemble c'est un bon restaurant.
Service impeccable. Accueil chaleureux & sympathique. Cocktails impeccables. Plats exquis & vin délicieux.
Nice restaurant! In particular I like their monkfish with mushroom & corn. That was a bit sweet but not dominating the flavor of the fish. Love that dish.
I recently dined at Le Violon & was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The chef's exquisite dishes showcased a perfect blend of flavors, making every bite memorable. The staff were attentive & warm, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect, offering a stunning Montreal aesthetic that complemented the delightful decor. It was an unforgettable evening, deserving of all five stars!
Really like a 4.5/5. Food was mostly very good but a couple dishes weren't quite there for us to make it a 5 star. Service was amazing! Try & grab a seat at the far end of the bar for a great look into the kitchen & chef Danny at work.
Extraordinary dining experience. Elegant yet casual atmosphere with great attention to detail. Unique menu derived from many locally sourced foods, beautifully presented. From the apps through to the desserts, it was an astronomic delight.
This is the restaurant you don't want to share (because you still want to get a reservation) but also can't help but share because it is fantastic. The starters are incredible, the tomatoes & albacore tuna were unforgettable as were the mussels on stout bread. As for the mains, the pork in jus & pesto gnocchi were incredible & instantly crave-able. The desserts truly keep the momentum going (a rarity in most places). We opted for the pistachio & rose soft serve ice cream & basque chocolate cake with English cream. Good to the last decadent bite. Run don't walk to Le Violon, but also please leave us at least a two top because we can't wait to go back. P.S. Shout out to Jenna for her exceptional service. This team truly cares about the experience they are curating. Here's to many years of beautiful food music at Le Violon !
Honestly it was just fine? The portions are tiny for the price. Just go to vin mon lapin instead.
