It's on June 13, 1983 that the dream became reality: The Restaurant le Vieux Four de Laval, located in the small village of St-Vincent-de-Paul warmly welcomed a clientele which has since remained faithful.
Mr. Manago is from the Italian province of Reggio Calabria, more precisely the small town of Palmi. It's from here that he got his taste for wood oven pizza, fresh and natural produce, a tasty and refined cuisine, which he offers us at Le Vieux Four.
This Italian restaurant is a family affair: M. Manago has always been accompanied and supported by his wife and their four children. All of them have put their heart in it; the hopes of the family were great. The instant success of le Vieux Four beat all expectations. This restaurant today is an institution and is renowned for the quality of its food and hospitality that it receives. J'ai fait affaire avec le vieux four pour l organisation des 50 ans de ma conjointe. Un clé en main, étant donné qu'il s agissait d'un surprise, le personnel du vieux four a tout organiser la soirée ; fleurs, DJ, mousseux pour l accueil des invités & un menu élaboré . Le personnel du vieux four a rendu cette soirée mémorable & tout le monde a été très satisfait du service. Merci au vieux four pour cette soirée exceptionnelle.
Honestly one of my most favourite Italian restaurants. Pizzas are cooked in a wood&stove oven - but careful to the new trainee who was having some issues with pulling out the pizzas in time (many burnt crusts!). The pasta gigi were excellent! The ambiance was nice.
Comment: we were sat near the pizza stove, & the benches sank so much that it was almost uncomfortable to eat for those of us on that side of the table. Those sitting in front of us seemed so much higher up that it seemed like they were looking'down' to talk to us.
The service was great!

Les pizza sont très bonnes, sauces en particulier & croûte mince cuite à la perfection ce qui justifie les prix demandés.
Par contre, les boissons sont vendus trop cher. Un verre de bière générique (Richard's red) à 10$ (pas une pinte, mais un verre)! Vin au verre le moins cher à 15$. & aucune vin italien.
J'hésiterais à un retourner pour cette raison. Ça fait gonfler la facture inutilement. Dommage.

Le service est impeccable. Notre serveuse était souriante & à l'écoute. C'est toujours plaisant d'aller au vieux four, la nourriture est délicieuse & il y a de la nouveauté.
Tout d'abord ..je suis client depuis plus de 20 ans & j'estimais qualité & prix plus que raisonnable Je suis sorti avec ma femme le 22 mars pour célébrer nos anniversaire respectifs le 27 & 29 mars.Quel désarroi musique disco a tue tete fettucine gigi entrecoupé de corn stach (c'était très prononcé,)Mon fils était allé le vendredi avec sa cocotte & les tortolinis goûtait seulement le beurre ..étrange je ne le croyais pas .bref déception totale.La famille au grand complet n'y retournera plus.Bien dommage.la famille Henrichon

Restaurant très bruyant, lecture du menu impossible sans avoir à utiliser la lampe de poche de notre cellulaire. Espace très restreint pour circuler simplement pour se rendre à la salle de bain. On nous a assignés une table prévue pour deux personnes alors que nous étions quatre. Nous avons commandés deux salades César goûtant très peu la vinaigrette & avons du se lever pour aller demander à notre serveuse de rapporter de la sauce pour notre salade en nous disant que ça pourrais être un extra & avons dû négocier. Une Pizza commandée par une personne de notre groupe est arrivée pas suffisamment cuite & une autre, ses fettucinis baignaient dans l'huile sans bon sens. Notre serveuse à utilisée un ton plutôt sarcastique à deux reprises sur nos désirs d'obtenir des choses pour notre repas, INACCEPTABLE. Pour conclure, un repas pour 4 personnes frôlant les 350.00$ à ce restaurant ne vaux pas le déplacement & il est fortement recommandé d'aller ailleurs. C'était notre dernière visite a ce restaurant.
Have been here 2x now. Once with a group & once on a date. My first visit was 3 years ago with the group. Honestly the expectations set from my first visit were met. Waiter was very helpful, friendly & super attentive to our needs. Food was extremely delicious. Pizza was good, crust was perfect. Pasta was even more amazing. The onion soup was delicious & the calamari was a good appetizer.
