Mr. Manago is from the Italian province of Reggio Calabria, more precisely the small town of Palmi. It's from here that he got his taste for wood oven pizza, fresh and natural produce, a tasty and refined cuisine, which he offers us at Le Vieux Four.

All of them have put their heart in it; the hopes of the family were great. The instant success of le Vieux Four beat all expectations. Do yourselves a favor, avoid booking any events at Le Vieux Four de Laval. Total lack of business sense & professionalism on the part of the owner Martin Baron. I'll let you be the judge, just by reading his response to Chelsea Spinelli's review. Martin doesn't really care about you as a customer, no prior notice that her event was being cancelled by him towards a dollar benefit in hosting a bigger event. Thank God Chelsea called 3 days before to confirm. Special thanks to Joey from Restaurant Bocci in Lasalle that went out of his way to the last minute to accommodate the 52 guests for the event me my wife & kids being some of them.
My sister had organized a 52 person party & booked it with the owner 3 months prior. Three days before the event, she called to confirm & they told her that they have a 150 person-wedding that day, & her event was nowhere to be found in the booking information. This shows a lack of professionalism & we remain extremely frustrated & disappointed as there was 0 compensation. To us, it seems as though they decided to prioritize a larger event as it would bring in more money. Whatever the case may be, I would reconsider booking your event here.

Thank goodness I called 3 days before the event to reconfirm my reservation-otherwise, 52 guests, an event planner, & the birthday guest of honour would have shown up to a restaurant that had no space for us.
I booked this party 2-3 months in advance & spoke directly with the owner, Martin, who assured me there was plenty of availability in May & that I had nothing to worry about. He confirmed the reservation & even mentioned he could arrange a DJ that night'free of charge.'
When I called to reconfirm, I was shocked to be told by his partner (who I believe is his wife) that it was'impossible' I had spoken to Martin because he had been on vacation at the time. Being dismissed & essentially told I was making this up was incredibly unprofessional. She also claimed there had been a wedding of 150 people booked six months prior-so which is it?
To make matters worse, Martin wasn't available when I called, & I was told to'wait until tomorrow,' despite the urgency of the situation. I was left scrambling to find another venue for a large group at the last minute.
When Martin finally called me back, he claimed someone had contacted me to cancel & left a voicemail-which is simply not true. I keep my phone on me at all times for work & received no such message. The explanations I was given by Martin & his partner were inconsistent & dishonest.
While Martin tried to sound apologetic, there was no accountability & no real attempt to make things right. No solution, no accommodation-nothing.
The lack of organization, communication, & basic professionalism is unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone planning an event here.
Very good italian dishes but pizzas are excellent. Very friendly staff just had to ask twice a couple of times. The lady seemed to be a little confused but with great sense of humor. All was perfect. Great place to go.
C'était notre première fois & la dernière.
Je m'attendais à plus. Manquait d'assaisonnement à mon veau. Les amis trouvés les pizzas 🍕 ordinaire. Pizza saucisse italienne,plus d'olives noires que de saucisses. Les commentaires on été plus négatif que positif. Notre serveuse était très gentille mais a oublié de demander aux gens s'ils voulaient du dessert & a eu plusieurs erreurs sur des factures.
Dehors, il y a deux gros haut parleurs ,qui crache de la musique dans le stationement ,aucune raison ,à part de faire suer tout les voisins ,...je ne comprends pas l'interêt,un jeudi à 13 hrs ,déjà de la musique ,en plein hiver,pauvre voisin ,je les plaint,manque de jugement,& de respect

Souper avec mon conjoint & son père ce samedi 28 février. Réservation en ligne. Personne nous a aviser qu'il y avait un party avec DJ & musique & un groupe de 85 personnes! Très très bruyant! Ils nous avaient placés juste à côté des speakers! Nous étions pour partir & la gentille serveuse nous a trouver une place plus à l'avant du restaurant. Un peu moins bruyant mais quand même! Nous voulions passer une belle soirée & après notre repas, nous sommes partis rapidement sans prendre de café & déssert. La moindre des choses aurait été de nous prévenir du party lors de notre réservation! Les plats commandés était bien mais sans plus. Pas de pain avec mes pâtes. J'ai voulu demander à la serveuse mais le temps qu'elle revienne me voir j'avais presque fini mon plat. Bref, nous avons été très déçu de notre expérience qui nous a coûter 100$ à trois sans dessert & sans café. Le gérant aurait dû nous offrir un café ou un petit quelque chose pour le désagrément. Voilà!
Redécouverte d'un resto que j'ai visité régulièrement lors de mon enfance il y a une trentaine d'années, je n'ai pas été déçu! Décor sublime, la nourriture était très savoureuse, bon rapport qualité/prix.
Dommage mais votre gérante me chargeais 120$ pour 2 pizzas. Quand j'ai remarqué l'erreur il a fallu plus de 15 minutes pour rectifier. Une fois terminé elle m'a dir que c'était réglé. Plus tard à la maison j'ai remarqué qu'elle c'était mit 20% de tips. Vraiment !!! J'ai rappelé & elle m'a dit d'un ton condescendant. Alors viens le chercher. Dommage mais nous pensons ne plus revenir. En passant nous étions 6 personnes à manger chez vous la semaine précédente.
We went for my father's birthday last Sunday & it was great. My two boys ate for free & loved the pizza. The food was delicious. The service was excellent, our waitress was very sweet & professional. Great atmosphere & nice looking restaurant. I'd definitely recommend it

J'y étais samedi , impossible de se parler a cause de la musique beaucoup trop forte & des pseudos chansonniers, on devait se crier par la tête , en plus de la commande non respecté, heureusement notre serveuse était exceptionnelle
