Review Summary

Le Shack Restaurant comes across as a popular, lively apres ski spot in the heart of the village with a rustic, cozy vibe and a terrace that offers great views; the location is repeatedly cited as a major draw. Service is frequently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, with several experiences of quick, efficient staff, though some visits report slow or inconsistent service and a few rude moments. The food gets mixed signals but leans toward solid pub fare, with many dishes like poutine, burgers, nachos, fajitas, fish and chips, and mac and cheese described as tasty or excellent, while a handful of meals are rated average or overpriced for the setting. Ambiance and atmosphere are consistently highlighted as a strength, from warm fireplaces to a lively, buzzed mood after skiing, and outdoor seating that enhances the Tremblant experience. Crowds and wait times can be substantial during peak hours, and a few reviews mention cleanliness or bathroom upkeep as areas for improvement. Overall, Le Shack Restaurant is viewed as a convenient, reliable spot for a casual meal or drink with friends after a day on the mountain, delivering good value for the area when the service is on point and the kitchen keeps pace, with many guests planning to return for the burgers, poutines, and the vibrant scene.

Les poutines sont excellentes ainsi que le jus de pomme, j'ai adoré

Food was good, we had burgers & poutine. A little disappointing the gravy was not hot enough to melt the curd. Quebec being known for poutine & being in a ski village I expected a higher caliper on the basic poutine. Burgers great, add ons very expensive, & calamari was okay but I wasn't expecting it to be fantastic.

I'd eat here again 😋.

Best part is the location & ambiance.

For $34 before tax, the burger & poutine was filling but definitely overpriced ski resort food.

Definitely a long wait for the kitchen.

This place is awesome! Visited during the Blues Festival, while the Resort Village was hopping. The service was awesome (Gen Bou is super-fun), & the food was great. We had the Club sandwich (with poutine upgrade), & the Flying Mile Chicken Sandwich, & they were both great. The Chocolate Cake melts in your mouth.

There is a nice selection of Québec craft beers, & the staff made great recommendations. The patio has a super-cool vibe!

Take the one-star reviews with a MASSIVE grain of salt. This place is a GEM!

I had the pulled pork poutine & my husband had a burger. Really delicious food, great service, but a little pricey. Atmosphere good, but the women's bathroom was in need of service/repairs.

I had the smoked pork poutine & it was absolutely perfect-flavorful & the portion was just right! I also grabbed the Mac N' Cheese with smoked brisket to go, & it was incredible. Highly recommend both if you're in the area!'

Overpriced poutine with scrums of smoked meat vs real sliced. Poor quantity. You'd better get the one at Beaver Tail across the square instead. Half the price. Way better in all aspects.

This was my favorite restaurant for a die-for poutine in the past 2 years. I gave 5 stars & came at least twice a year, but no more. Something changed, they either have a new owner, or new menu or new cook, or no cook at all. The meals we ordered came exceptionally fast - most likely previously prepared & only heated up. If that is the case, that poutine I ordered came lukewarm, & the cheese didn't melt even a bit. The ordered adult hamburger was miniature in size... It's definitely not worth the money paid for it. The 3rd meal ordered was vegan salad... nothing spectacular, & the person didn't enjoy it either. The waiter came with a machine to pay even before we asked for it. She looked the screen to see how much was the tip selected (15%) & even didn't say thank you at the end. Therefore, it will be no next time in this restaurant, will go somewhere else next time.

Sometimes you have to stop & consider the location of where the restaurant is in order to make a fair assessment, so I will keep that in mind for my review. This restaurant was located right at the base of the luge track, so it is nicely located. Now, when you consider the location you can expect to pay a little more for the meal as...well.... location, location, location. But the prices weren't that far out of touch with a restaurant in the city. $22-29 for a burger is not out of the norm these days. The food was good, & we enjoyed it. The burger was ok. In that I mean, it tasted good & fresh, but it wasn't anything to text home about (sorry for you youngers, that is a play on anything to write home about...like you know a letty, no not an email, a letter you would put in a mailbox...you know what, never mind let's move on). The brisket mac & cheese was a really good size portion (don't let the picture fool you) & tasted so good. Their broiled it just before they served it, so the cheese had a nice crispyness to it. The other two burgers lined up the same as above, & were good but not knocking your socks off. Now, the poutine upgrade was very reasonable for $4. There was a good amount of cheese & the gravy was good. Now, let's talk about the fries. They were ok, I guess. Now, we are a dry snob family & will drive an hour or two for a good fry truck, but these fries just didn't hit the mark. They were thin, which is fine, but they were overcooked. Not crispy overcooked, like Sat in the oil too long overcooked. They weren't super hot either. Oh ya, when providing mayo, giving us a self serve pack of it really isn't the way to go in my opinion. The waiter was fantastic. He had a good sense of humour, & wasn't hovering all the time, but always showed up in time. All in all, the meal scratched the hunger itch, but at the price point I think it could have been just a little bett.

Prices were high, food was just okay. I paid $29 for nachos & had a hard time finding the meat. Group agreed the poutine was only okay. Pretty sure all places have high food prices, but was just disappointed because the food was only okay but the ambience & the service were excellent.

Went there on a summer weekday evening. The ambience of the place is quite alive. All of us ordered different meals & all of us were very happy with what we got. The option to change fries to different fries, salad or poutine makes the table more interesting. Would definitely go to this restaurant again if we ever get a chance. The staff was very friendly & courteous. Cheers !
