The smoked meat was great & not to be missed! The negative is that the place is dated & they need to do some freshening up. That being said, it's clean & not a reason not to go for the food or the smoked meats, actually. The fries that came with the foods were standard fries frozen from a bag, so it did not make the poutine very impressive.
Ordered smoked meat & a poutine, service was good & prompt. Smoked meat was very good but the poutine was average at best. Eatable but not the freshest. Pretty sure fries are frozen & cheese was not same day fresh. Overall value was good.
Le smoked meat, bien sûr ! Toujours délicieux. & le MEILLEUR souvlaki (au porc) c'est ici. & les côtelettes d'agneau sont excellentes. Si vous aimez le gâteau au chocolat...
The smoked meat sandwiches were scrumptious. To my taste, the fries were not crispy enough. Service wise it took a while for us to get served (a good 15-20 minutes wait). The atmosphere was okay, the place is a bit echo so it can be difficult for someone sensitive of earring.
Un incontournable de la plaza St Hubert. C'est du smoked meat. C'est la même chose qu'il y a 20 ans. C'est une valeur sûre. C'est facile, rapide & sans tracas. Après avoir acheté une robe de bal, c'est un bon arrêt bien mérité.

Visited 11 months ago & the food was so amazing had to come back the next time I visited Montreal. The diner had a very classic feel & look & the smoked meat sandwich was absolutely fantastic. The meat was so amazing had to bring 2 pounds of it home.
We've been going here for at least a decade for their smoked meat. I really like their sandwiches but absolutely love their smoke meat poutine. Their cheese cakes are also delicious!
I ordered smoked meat WITH SWISS cheese got smoked meat WITHOUT cheese & it was delicious however accuracy would be appreciated.
I got takeout so I can't really comment on the atmosphere, but the lovely elderly woman at the cash recommended their special & it did not disappoint! It was SO delicious! The smoked meat was tender & really moist (sorry). My husband doesn't like smoked meat as a rule, but even he said it was delicious. I had the special & it was super affordable at $20! A steal in this economy. Next time I go to Montreal I will be going back for sure!

A Montreal institution, the quality of their smoked meat has never wavered. Although prices have gone up across the board, they're still relatively affordable here. It remains one of my favourite eateries in the city.
I think this is the best place for smoked meat. Everything I've had there was very good. Except their fries.
