About

Le Réservoir operates as a prominent microbrewery and bistro that emphasizes the intersection of craft beer production and regional culinary influences. The menu focuses on elevated international fare, utilizing seasonal ingredients to create robust, flavor-forward compositions that complement a frequently rotating selection of house-made ales. Patrons navigate a space defined by high ceilings, expansive windows, and a minimalist industrial aesthetic that facilitates a focused sensory experience. The kitchen demonstrates a commitment to technical precision, balancing complex savory profiles with the nuanced bitterness of various beer styles. Every plate reflects a dedication to modern bistro standards, prioritizing texture, depth, and structural coherence in every served portion. This establishment functions as a deliberate hub for those seeking a synthesis of artisanal brewing traditions and sophisticated, ingredient-driven preparation techniques within a structured, contemporary environment.

Review Summary

Le Réservoir is widely praised as a vibrant destination in the Plateau neighborhood, celebrated primarily for its exceptional selection of craft beers and inviting, cozy atmosphere. Many guests highlight the high quality of the food, particularly the chicken sandwich and various small plates, noting that the venue is a perfect spot for brunch or a relaxed evening with friends. While the majority of visitors experience warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service, a few patrons have expressed concerns regarding inconsistent hospitality and portion sizes that they feel do not always align with the price point. Despite these minor criticisms, the combination of a great terrace, a refined drink menu, and a charming location ensures that most guests remain eager to return.

Such a nice little gem. Try their cream ale. It's a dangerous drink; incredibly creamy & tasty which makes you keep wanting to drink more & more.

Good selection of drafts here. Camerise fruit beer was the most interesting of the flight. Light, fruity, & easy-drinking. Went well with their chicken sandwich, which was snack-sized but full-priced.

Perfect little spot for a quick bite & some drinks.
Stopped in before heading out to dinner & had some delicious cider & a few local beers. Really nice apps including the cheese Board which has the best bread I have had in years!!

This bar is only good for drinks, I'd skip out on ordering anything from the kitchen. The food is extremely over priced & overall it was just very sad looking & tasted bland. The ricotta cavatelli was 18$ & we had 6 pieces of cavatelli each, & the sauce honestly looked like baby vomit. The salmon tartare came with one sad tiny piece of bread that we had to cut in half. I know times are tough for restaurants & food costs but are you that destitute that you can't put two slices of bread on the plate? This place should not describe these dishes as'sharing plates' because you don't get enough food to share. The oysters were good at least, & our server did recommend a nice bottle of wine. However she forgot about us a lot & I didn't appreciate that the oysters came out at the exact same time as the rest of the food. We ended up having to go eat elsewhere. There are much better bars with fairly priced food around in the area!

We just stopped in for drinks, but the service & atmosphere were both good. The food I saw arriving to other tables looked delicious & well plated, would definitely consider coming back to try it. Enjoy a cider & friends enjoyed their beer here.

Good service & a good non-alcoholic cocktail list. I didn't get a picture of my mojito but it was very tasty. I'd come back to try the food & see what that is like as we only had drinks last night.

Ok so 1. the space is not large but the layout is great with a street area, main level open doors, upstairs with bar, sitting area & then an amazing one row patio of tables over looking Duluth & then an indent terrace area. 2. The beer is top-notch. I just moved here from Toronto & have travelled all over drinking every beer I can coast-to-coast & damn this place has it going on. They have perfected their selection & well, yum, give me more. 3. JC is so nice & just chill, effective fun & he even remembered my last order. The other staff (Julien I think) & the others run a tight ship & ensure that the experience is smooth, flawless & fun. Thanks all for being awesome & I look forward to consuming lots of your beer, cocktails is & damn I forgot to mention the amazing food. Simply awesome! August 20 2024 update-I was lucky enough to meet one of the owners Vickie. & well she is just awesome. Hands down on of my favourite # bars Montreal!
