Le Réservoir comes across as a lively, welcoming brewery pub with a strong beer program and a warm, casual atmosphere. Reviews note a wide and thoughtfully curated beer list, with several drinks and cocktails, including an espresso martini, earning particular praise. The food side is described as refined and very tasty, offering crowd pleasing items like a standout chicken sandwich and brunch dishes, though some comments point out small portions for the price and occasional pricier plates. The service is generally friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, with staff often helpful and patient, while a few entries mention occasional delays or moments of inattentiveness. The setting is repeatedly described as bright and social, with pleasant terraces and a vibe that captures a Montreal feel, making it a good spot to relax with friends. Overall, Le Réservoir is seen as a solid destination for beer lovers and casual dining, balancing strong drinks with flavorful bites, and many reviewers express they would return to try more of the menu.
Super bon bar ! Les spatzle sont très bonnes. Les bières également mais attention à la triple qui n'a pas du tout le goût d'une trappiste belge par exemple
I recently had a great time here at Reservoir. It was my first time visiting for lunch & I ended up trying a flight of four different beers as well as ordering the chicken sandwich. The beers were pretty good, I liked the blonde lager the most.
As far as the chicken sandwich goes, I believe this is hands down one of the greatest chicken sandwiches I've EVER had. Highly recommend getting this sandwich if you ever stop by for lunch or dinner, definitely a must if visiting.
The staff was very friendly, I was being helped out by Fred & Ales at the bar. Ales was very helpful when answering questions I had about the menu & specific recommendations &/or translations from the french terminology on the menu.
All in all, it was a great experience & I will definitely be back on my next trip to Montreal!

Organized a pub crawl (if you know you know) for my parents & this was a great choice. They even offer beer in small sizes so you can taste them. The Mont-Royal IPA was so yummy ( if you are into the chewing on bark & biting orange peel kinda IPA flavour)
The atmosphere is nice they have a cute terrace. Definitely recommend good beer selection.
This bar is only good for drinks, I'd skip out on ordering anything from the kitchen. The food is extremely over priced & overall it was just very sad looking & tasted bland. The ricotta cavatelli was 18$ & we had 6 pieces of cavatelli each, & the sauce honestly looked like baby vomit. The salmon tartare came with one sad tiny piece of bread that we had to cut in half. I know times are tough for restaurants & food costs but are you that destitute that you can't put two slices of bread on the plate? This place should not describe these dishes as'sharing plates' because you don't get enough food to share. The oysters were good at least, & our server did recommend a nice bottle of wine. However she forgot about us a lot & I didn't appreciate that the oysters came out at the exact same time as the rest of the food. We ended up having to go eat elsewhere. There are much better bars with fairly priced food around in the area!
Fantastic bar that I've been meaning to visit for some time. It's usually quite busy but I was fortunate to score a table after a very brief wait. The atmosphere is wonderful, sophisticated yet simultaneously relaxing. The beer selection is superb, freshness of the brews is apparent in every sip. Service was good even with the high demand, they are well trained at managing the seating. I don't normally expect microbreweries to have good food but Réservoir proves to be an exception in this category as well.

Ok so 1. the space is not large but the layout is great with a street area, main level open doors, upstairs with bar, sitting area & then an amazing one row patio of tables over looking Duluth & then an indent terrace area. 2. The beer is top-notch. I just moved here from Toronto & have travelled all over drinking every beer I can coast-to-coast & damn this place has it going on. They have perfected their selection & well, yum, give me more. 3. JC is so nice & just chill, effective fun & he even remembered my last order. The other staff (Julien I think) & the others run a tight ship & ensure that the experience is smooth, flawless & fun. Thanks all for being awesome & I look forward to consuming lots of your beer, cocktails is & damn I forgot to mention the amazing food. Simply awesome! August 20 2024 update-I was lucky enough to meet one of the owners Vickie. & well she is just awesome. Hands down on of my favourite # bars Montreal!
Good, if somewhat limited selection of beers, recommend the cream ale & stout, super smooth Food is above what's you'd expect in a bar, & the staff are great - especially the dude with the yellow hair - tartare & the cheese plate for me
This is the best fried chicken sandwich in the city, hands down. & the lighting is nice? They always have interesting ciders on tap? Their service is funny & kind? What more do you want?! In the summer their terrace is charming, but they're my favourite cozy snowy bar in that neck of the woods.
