The setting is repeatedly described as bright and social, with pleasant terraces and a vibe that captures a Montreal feel, making it a good spot to relax with friends. Overall, Le Réservoir is seen as a solid destination for beer lovers and casual dining, balancing strong drinks with flavorful bites, and many reviewers express they would return to try more of the menu.
It was a nice place to stop at just right off the busy street but not sure I would come back. Chicken sandwich was okay & their special of the day was an interesting take on the BLT. Whatever sauce they had doused it in was delicious although quite difficult & messy to eat. That said, portions were quite small for the price point.
I recently had a great time here at Reservoir. It was my first time visiting for lunch & I ended up trying a flight of four different beers as well as ordering the chicken sandwich. The beers were pretty good, I liked the blonde lager the most.
As far as the chicken sandwich goes, I believe this is hands down one of the greatest chicken sandwiches I've EVER had. Highly recommend getting this sandwich if you ever stop by for lunch or dinner, definitely a must if visiting.
The staff was very friendly, I was being helped out by Fred & Ales at the bar. Ales was very helpful when answering questions I had about the menu & specific recommendations &/or translations from the french terminology on the menu.
All in all, it was a great experience & I will definitely be back on my next trip to Montreal!
Good selection of drafts here. Camerise fruit beer was the most interesting of the flight. Light, fruity, & easy-drinking. Went well with their chicken sandwich, which was snack-sized but full-priced.
Cocktails felt a bit watered down & the chicken sandwich was expensive for what you get. But the cheese plate was worth it. The cheese selection is basic but the bread was amazing, crunchy & full of flavor.
We combined a visit with a trek up & down Mount Royal. Promise of beer at the end of the trail kept us going. As a devotee of the "follow the beer" principle for our family travels, I have been to many a brewery, microbrewery & beer pub. Reservoir is a gem. I had the milk stout & West Coast (Quest) IPA, both were fresh & excellent. The fried chicken sandwich was spot on. Place was hopping on a Thurs. afternoon. Only minor ding was no AC in dining area inside- wife could not handle, so we ate outside; probably saved me from consuming many more beers!
This is the best fried chicken sandwich in the city, hands down. & the lighting is nice? They always have interesting ciders on tap? Their service is funny & kind? What more do you want?! In the summer their terrace is charming, but they're my favourite cozy snowy bar in that neck of the woods.
Top notch food (we had the croque madam, beef sandwich, & chicken sandwich) & excellent beers in a lovely little space. I'd love to go back & try everything else on this menu!
Everything was just perfect. It was not busy when we arrived. This burger was one of my best chicken burgers i have ever had. Highly recommended. Price was also very reasonable. We will enjoy this restaurant more often
