It made our Valentines day perfect. An ideal place to expand your palette & knowledge of wine & cheeses . Very comfortable lighting & an intimate vibe . Everything was delicious. Staff was friendly , helpful & welcoming . Sit by the bar for an elemental experience !
We've been hoping to visit for a while, & we finally had the chance! We were greated & served by Maude, who was exceptionally kind, welcoming, & super informative when it came to suggested wines & cheeses. The atmosphere is cozy, funky, & interesting to observe (check out the bathrooms!). They have a surprisingly large collection of private import wines, & many cocktail options (ask for recommendations, you won't be disappointed). The food was fantastic! The amount of cheese options can feel overwhelming but don't hesitate to ask for help! The recommendations we received were spot on!! This is definitely a place to visit again… a second time… third time.. etc. :)

Le Psy Bar, in Montreal, is one of Canada's hidden gems. Le Psy Bar specializes in cheese, wine & specialty cocktails. The atmosphere reminds me of going to your best friend's home for an evening of wine & cheeses. There's nothing like friends around a chacuterie board, sharing stories & celebrating friends & family! This evening I had the French Onion Soup which was, bar none, the best I've ever had. Paired with two incredible wines, followed by a chacuterie board with warm camenbert cheese, drizzed with honey, pickles & sausage. The portions are generous! Service is 1:1 by the owners, as they make everyone feel like they've known you for years. The summer months has the addition of an outdoor patio. The Psy Bar is a 5 Star +++++++++. Many thanks! A group of friends & I were in Montreal for a couple of days & decided to stop by Le Psy for a quick drink & a light bite before continuing our night. What was meant to be a short visit turned into hours-thanks to the soft lighting, great music, & incredibly warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Jean-Yves is truly one of the most gracious & charming restaurateurs I've ever met. Although our group was mostly English-speaking, he made us feel completely at home-like longtime friends by the end of the night.
I could go on about how special the experience was, but I need to mention the food & drinks before you stop reading.
French onion soup is my favorite dish in the world-& a tricky one to get just right-but they've mastered it here. Every bite had the perfect balance: rich broth, caramelized onions, & a bold cheese crust that left us craving more. It simply is one of the best I've ever had.
I paired it with a fantastic Old Fashioned that was as delicious as it was entertaining to watch being crafted.
But the star of the night-one of the highlights of our entire trip-was the espresso martini. I've never had anything like it. When we asked how to recreate it, Jean-Yves generously walked us through the process, step by step.
On a trip where we set out to taste everything Montreal had to offer, we ended up returning to Le Psy the very next night. If you're still reading this, do yourself a favor, pull up a stool at Le Psy, & treat yourself to an unforgettable meal, a vibrant atmosphere, & some of the kindest people Montreal has to offer.

Vraiment top ! On a découvert ce lieu par hasard & on n'a pas été déçu. Leurs grilled cheese fait avec du supers fromages juste un plaisir à les manger. Un service de qualité avec de la bonne humeur. & une ambiance musicale sur-mesure selon les gens en salle, le fait de s'entendre parler avec une bonne ambiance est un très bon point ! On y retournera ça c'est sûr !

Un de mes endroits préférés à Montréal & certainement dans le Quartier Latin. A welcoming bar to enjoy great cocktails & the best grilled cheese sandwiches. All made with love & run by a family. One of my favorite places in Montreal & certainly in the Latin Quarter.
Special & cozy place with a great selection of wines, nice cocktails, & good local cheese & meats selection. You'll be served by the owners, so you can appreciate how much soul & good humor they put in their little bar. it has become a favorite place for me & my friends.
Chill quiet wine bar. Excellent friendly efficient service. Wine suggestions were great. Cheeseboard is definitely recommended, especially with chorizo. Unfortunately the idea to have grilled cheeses with fancy cheeses is interesting in theory but doesn't work in practice. The bread wasn't anything special & was kinda burnt. Should have come with a spread or side to bring out the flavour of the cheese. The French onion soup was really bitter. Not a big fan of the red wine sausage.
