One of the few high-end Chinese restaurants in Montreal! The food is authentic Szechuan, so be prepared for spicy food if you order from the special menu (it's worth it). I highly suggest reserving & pre-ordering the Peking duck, lobster, or Vancouver crab. Unlike many Chinese restaurants, service is excellent here. The free parking after 5 is also appreciated. Decor is casual-chic. & also unlike other Chinese restaurants, the place is spotlessly clean. I'm so glad Piment Rouge is back. It's a great place for a casual meal or a big celebration. Everytime I go the food is absolutely fantastic! You can tell it's Fresh & authentic! It's defiently not the typical commercial food this is sooo tasty & different from the rest I highly recommend but Only thing I wish is for it have more ambiance to make it more cozy ...it's a very bright room that's beautifully decorated but lights need to be a little dimmer & maybe music a little higher so that the voices & convos of the guests in room gets simmered down with the music in background It would change the whole ambiance ...

Fabulous dining experience, very informative friendly staff, made you feel at home. The crispy shrimp & sweet potato were a highlight. Hazel, the owner of the old Piment Rouge is back in the restaurant business, with a lot of old favourites, & new ones as well. Nice modern airy decor, & chefs directly from China. Will definitely return. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic meal at Piment Rouge yesterday. We were so warmly greeted by the lovely Virginia when we arrived. She made some great suggestions for our meal, & from beginning to end, everything we had was delicious. The hot & sour soup was just the right thickness & so flavorful. The Hunan peanut sauce dumplings are homemade & so delicious. The stir-fried eggplant was cooked perfectly in a savory garlic sauce... everything was perfect. The decor is modern & very comfortable, & they offer free parking across the street in the evenings. If you loved the old Piment Rouge you won't be disappointed.

Had an amazing supper at this beautifully decorated restaurant. Food was amazing, we had crispy coconut shrimp, hot & sour soup, hunan dumplings, crispy fried garlic shrimp, fried squid, general tao & fried rice with Chinese olives. Wow what a supper! Service was as good as the food. I will sure.y be going back soon, lol! Highly recommend.
